Doctor Henry raised an eyebrow. Noticing her silence, "Miss Anderson."
Her attention returned at the sound of his voice. Penelope glanced at him, "I have been sleeping."
"That was not quite what I asked," he said carefully.
She looked away. "Not particularly well."
He nodded slowly. "And today?"
That question lingered in her mind.
For a moment, she said nothing. "Today has been rather… dreadful," She confessed.
Coupled with the haunting memory of her father's death, and the encounter with Lord Ravenport earlier today, she didn't know which was worse.
"I imagine the rain has not helped," he observed, looking at the lady seated opposite him.
"It has been… most inconsiderate," Penelope admitted. It was the truth.
