At the shelter they originated from, Faye and Leo were standing side by side. Their job was to await a signal indicating one of the classes were in trouble, but for the time being it was all silent.
Faye kept stealing glances at Leo, not quite sure how to talk to him.
'He's so silent. I would've thought that the great war hero would have more to say,' Faye thought to herself, 'Because right now, it's just awkward silence.'
"I know you're looking in my direction," Leo said out loud, which made Faye straighten her posture.
Just then, a beeping sound from their watches had alerted them that one of the teams needed their help.
"I'll get to it!" Faye shouted, and ran off like a bolt of lightning.
As the one with a speed ability, she was meant to be the one who was sent first to emergencies, and internally, she was secretly thankful that a teacher had alerted them. It was a good excuse to leave.
