Killian's breath caught in his throat, a raw scream tearing from his lips as Mordred yanked his hand free, taking a massive piece of flesh with it.
"What... what..." Killian's chest heaved violently, his pulse thundering as he struggled to process what had just happened to him.
Mordred gazed down at Killian's crumpled form on the floor. Scarlet spread beneath his body while his healing powers desperately tried to save him, but it was useless. Without a healer's intervention, he would bleed out completely.
"This..."
"Screw you, Killian. You really think I'm gonna help you?" Mordred's laugh was cold and mocking. "I haven't forgotten how cocky you were, thinking you could push me around just because you're the alpha. Alpha, my ass."
Mordred dropped to a crouch as Killian reached out with trembling fingers, trying to wrap them around Mordred's throat. The other shifter just laughed at the pathetic attempt.
