The pain hadn't stopped.
Amara collapsed to the ground, her body shaking as the mark on her neck burned like fire.
Gasps filled the arena.
"This is wrong…" someone whispered.
A woman stepped forward, her eyes filled with fury.
"I am his mate," she said coldly.
Amara's heart dropped.
Mate…?
Then why did he mark me?
The Alpha didn't move away.
Instead, his grip on her tightened.
"She's mine," he said.
The woman's face twisted with rage.
"You've made a mistake."
"No," he replied calmly.
