Chapter 1 - The Dream that Didn't End

I thought dreams disappear when you wake up.

At least… that's what I always believed.

Until last night.

It started like any other night.

I was tired, scrolling through my phone, waiting for sleep to take over. My eyes slowly closed, and everything faded into darkness.

But then—

I opened my eyes again.

And I wasn't in my room.

I was standing in a hallway.

Long. Silent. Endless.

The walls were plain white, but somehow… they felt wrong. Like they were hiding something.

"Where am I?" I whispered.

My voice echoed, but not normally.

It came back… slower.

Distorted.

I started walking.

Each step felt heavy, like the floor didn't want me there.

The lights above flickered once.

Then again.

And then—

Darkness.

For a second, I couldn't see anything.

But I could hear something.

Soft breathing.

Not mine.

My heart started pounding.

"Hello?" I called out, my voice shaking.

No answer.

Just that breathing sound… getting closer.

The lights suddenly came back.

And at the end of the hallway—

Someone was standing there.

I froze.

I couldn't see their face.

Just a shadow.

Still. Silent.

Watching me.

I wanted to run.

But my body wouldn't move.

It felt like I was trapped inside myself.

Then the shadow moved.

Slowly.

Step by step.

Coming closer.

"Don't be scared," it said.

The voice was calm.

Too calm.

And strangely…

Familiar.

"Who are you?" I forced myself to ask.

The figure stopped.

Right in front of me now.

Still no face.

Just darkness.

"You already know me," it replied.

A chill ran through my body.

"No… I don't."

The shadow tilted its head slightly.

As if it was smiling.

"Then why do you keep coming back?"

Before I could answer—

Everything around me started shaking.

The walls cracked.

The lights burst.

And the hallway began to collapse.

I screamed.

And suddenly—

I woke up.

I was back in my room.

Breathing heavily.

Sweat running down my face.

"It was just a dream…" I whispered.

But something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

I looked around.

Everything seemed normal.

Until I noticed one thing.

My bedroom door…

Was slightly open.

I clearly remembered locking it before sleeping.

My heart started racing again.

Slowly… I got up and walked toward the door.

My hands trembling.

And then—

From the other side of the door—

I heard it.

That same voice.

"See you tonight."
