As Kaida walked up the little stairs and onto the arena floor, she noticed the smile on Lukas' face.
She didn't break her stride, but her head tilted slightly, a frown appearing on her face.
She stopped at her end of the arena, staring at him. "Why are you smiling?" She asked.
"Because I'm finally facing a B-rank opponent," Lukas said. "It's my third match of the day and it took this long to meet someone finally on my level."
He doubted she was actually on the same level as he was stats wise, but that was a different story entirely.
Kaida stared at him for a few seconds, then she chuckled, a smile coming over her face. The smile wasn't friendly, but it was fierce.
Her eyes shone with a brightness that had nothing to do with the sun.
She reached up with both hands, bunched up her hair, and pulled it back into a ponytail. "I see."
