While it may seem like these lists are something meaningless and randomly put together, all these fanfics meet several strict criteria that I have set based on my personal preferences, and I believe they will also be the ones most of you want:
- Transmigration: It's the most popular tag, by far. The idea of a person from our world suddenly appearing in the world of one of our beloved anime and changing the previously written plot is possibly the most sought-after premise for novels.
- Male MC: I'm only interested in reading and inspecting a fanfic if the central character around whom all the events revolve is a man. I know there will be some who also prefer a female MC, and that I might even be labeled a bit sexist, but everyone has their own preferences.
- Romance: Whether you're looking for harem or singles, it's all here. It's not always relevant or central for the story, but it's always there.
- Progression: Most of these fanfics are complete, and those that aren't must be at least 30 chapters long and currently being updated in less than 20 days. If that timeframe is exceeded, the fanfic name will likely be removed from the list.
- Non-Multiversal: The fanfictions focus on a single universe. The main character can have the power of other franchise, but he doesn't jump to other different anime universes. In my opinion, doing so complicates the narrative and ruins the story's framework.
- No overloading powers: Each fanfic features abilities from the main universe, golden finger, or even systems that grant abilities from other anime, sometimes making the MC overpowered. However, it's bound by limitations and rules to prevent it from becoming too convoluted and tedious. For example, if there's a system, it can't incorporate multiple anime, and if we're reading about a story set in the world of One Piece, the MC can't have multiple Devil Fruits.
