Chapter 11 - Chapter 9: Regret Between the Lines

Not every love story blooms.

Some wither quietly… beneath the weight of silence, guilt, and heartbreak.

For six long years, Sahil and Kavya lived under the same roof—but miles apart in their hearts. What once held promises now echoed with pain. Sahil thought Kavya had betrayed him by marrying another man. He never knew she was forced… never saw her tears the night she left everything behind and returned, pregnant, with his child.

Kavya had hoped her love would be enough to mend what broke between them. But after their marriage, Sahil only cared about one thing—the unborn child. He provided, protected… but never loved her again. His love was reserved for their daughter, Bhumi. And Kavya? She was just a shadow in her own life.

No one knew her truth—not his grandparents, not his brothers. She wore a smile and hid the bruises left by his coldness. But every time Sahil turned away, Kavya's heart cracked a little more. She asked herself: Why do I still love the man who destroys me?

Depression crept in slowly, and silently.

Until one day, Kavya broke.

She drafted divorce papers—an escape plan. She only wanted to be free. But Sahil found them. And he exploded.

That evening, she fled—shaking, breathless, and broken. Her car sped into the night... and into an accident that nearly claimed her life.

The hospital was chaos. Sahil's family arrived in panic. Kavya's condition was critical.

Fate, however, had plans.

Her surgeon was none other than Dr. Naina Iyer.

While Naina and her team fought for Kavya's life inside the operation theater, chaos brewed outside. Sahil—angry, helpless, and desperate—grabbed a doctor by the collar, demanding, "Save my wife!"

That's when Naina walked out and saw the scene.

She didn't hesitate.

She slapped Sahil.

Right there. In front of everyone.

"You think love gives you the right to abuse others? This is a hospital—not your battlefield," she said, eyes blazing.

Silence fell.

Even Manik, standing with Sahil's younger brother Arjun, didn't say a word. He saw the fire in Naina's eyes—and stayed quiet.

Naina turned to Sahil's grandparents. Calmly but firmly, she spoke.

She told them everything—Kavya's quiet suffering, her untreated depression, and how badly she'd been treated.

Sahil's grandmother slapped him next.

His family had no idea what he had become. They warned him to stay away from Kavya.

"But I love her," Sahil whispered, broken.

"Then you should've acted like it," his grandfather snapped.

Manik tried to escort him out. He refused—until Kabir stepped forward, voice low but firm.

"Go. When she wakes up and they leave, we'll call you."

Kavya survived. But the scars ran deep.

While she healed under Naina's care, Sahil visited every day—watching, hoping, regretting.

Kavya ignored him. But Naina didn't. She saw his pain. She saw hers.

A fragile friendship bloomed between the two women—built not on sympathy, but shared strength.

Eventually, Sahil's grandparents decided Kavya needed distance—and a fresh start. They planned to send her abroad. Sahil begged them not to.

Kavya was torn. She still loved him… but love wasn't enough. Not after everything.

And Sahil? He did everything he could. Gifts. Letters. Silence. Apologies.

He didn't want forgiveness.

He wanted redemption.

Present Day

Kabir and Maya left for Delhi for a business event.

At the same time, Sahil and Kavya also headed to Delhi—for the same event.

Kavya's heart raced. Delhi wasn't just a business trip—it was a chance to see her parents and sister again. The guilt of abandoning them still haunted her.

And somewhere across the city, Naina was already in Delhi… prepping for a high-risk brain surgery on a VIP patient.

They didn't know it yet…

But fate was about to bring all of them back together.

And this time, no one would escape the storm.
