Two construction workers were busy knocking down an old, abandoned apartment building.
The man driving the wrecking ball crane started smashing the building with the huge heavy metal ball attached to the crane.
Boom!
"Getting paid for smashing stuff, hehehehe… you gotta love this job," the guy said, laughing.
He was about to swing the ball again when suddenly, a mysterious man came out.
Cockroaches crawled around his body, yet the man didn't seem uncomfortable at all…
The other construction worker, who was writing things down, suddenly noticed him and screamed at his partner to stop before hurting the man…
"Hey! Stop ! There's still someone in the building!"
His partner stopped and he sighed in relief....
Then he shouted towards the mysterious man, "Hey! What are you doing over there? Get down quickly!!"
"Get out of our home," the mysterious man said to them.
"Yeah, hehe… I hate to break it to you, pal, but this building is condemned under the orders of Councilwoman Liang and will be torn down," the guy driving the crane said leisurely as he came out from the driving seat.
"Yeah, so move it or lose it, pal. This place is coming down whether you like it or not—we don't care," his partner added.
The man standing inside the building clearly didn't like the answer at all and looked at them with a frown.
He moved his hands, and countless swarms of insects came out and flew around him, revealing his unnatural ability to control and communicate with insects on a telepathic level.
"Go and teach them a lesson." The man ordered the insects...
The insects rushed toward the two men.
"Woah , get away from us !!!"
The two men tried to flee…
The guy who was writing notes got away, but the driver wasn't so lucky…
When he jumped down to escape, the insects caught him midair and brought him to the man controlling them…
"Ughhhh!!! Get these things off me!" the man screamed, trying to get away.
"Well, if you think we are bugging you now, huh?" the insect guy said with a strange smile…

In another part of the city…
Inside the Rustbucket, Max, Gwen, and Keva were in hot pursuit of a robber in a hot rod, speeding through the streets…
The robber looked behind from his car and said confidently, "Heh, they'll never catch me."
Then he sped up…
Inside the Rustbucket, Max, Gwen, and Keva chased after him…
As for Ben?
"Look, there he is!" Keva said, looking outside the window…
Ben—now Upgrade—was possessing a motorcycle.
The motorcycle was small and nimble enough to cut through traffic and corners…
"Let's stop him now, shall we?" he said , the circle on the motorcycle glowed which was clearly upgrade's face and sped up…
When he got near the car—
He created an energy blade beside the tire and sliced through it to stop the vehicle…
"No way!!" the robber screamed as he lost control, steering wildly before crashing into another car…
Shaking his head, the robber looked towards the one who stopped him…
"What?!"
He was stunned seeing that no one was driving the motorcycle…
"Gotcha! Hehe, take this!"
Upgrade gave him a taste of his exhaust smoke.
"Hey, stop—cough cough—" the robber said while coughing…
When Upgrade heard the police sirens, he stopped and rolled away as the police arrived to arrest the robber.
He went into another alley.
Looking around and seeing no one else, he got off the motorcycle, tapped the Omnitrix, and changed back into human form…
"Hmm, another day, another criminal arrested…" Ben said, stretching his arms as he headed toward the Rustbucket…
On the way, he saw the robber being arrested while trying to explain the incident to the police…
"Look, I am telling you, that motorcycle—it… it… it was driving itself, I swear!"
"Yeah, yeah, now get inside, buddy. Seems like you hit your head too hard in the crash…" the police officers ignored him and placed him inside their car.
They also recovered the stolen money…

Ben went toward the RV where Grandpa Max was waiting for him…
"Everything okay, Ben?" he asked…
"Yeah, it was an easy-peasy job. No trouble at all," he said confidently and got inside the Rustbucket…
Max nodded and followed behind him…
"So, where are we going today, Grandpa?" Gwen asked Max.
"To the city's Chinatown," Max said.
"Oh, do you want to buy something there, Grandpa?" Keva asked.
"Yeah, I want to pick up some ingredients for some medicine…" he replied while going to the driver's seat.
"What medicine? You even know how to make medicine, Grandpa?" Gwen asked with a raised brow…
"Yeah, it's my famous San Ju Yen Pien cold remedy. I like to keep some stock for emergency situations…
Although you guys haven't caught a summer cold yet, nothing hurts by being prepared, right?"
"Sure." x3 The three replied…
'So even if I don't catch a cold, Grandpa will still go there, huh? Interesting.' Ben thought, touching his chin in interest…
"Chinatown is just down the block. It won't take much time anyway…"
He drove toward a suitable parking area, and the four went on a walk to the city's Chinatown.

Travelers and locals cheered as they watched…

Holding a jar, Max scratched his head and said,
"You know, it's so hard to find fresh ingredients nowadays… It's all frozen and dried…"
"So where exactly did you learn to make this stuff, Grandpa?" Gwen asked, thinking he might accidentally slip up and reveal another secret about his past…
"Well, I picked it up from a monk in China," he replied.
Gwen stood there with her arms crossed, looking at him…
"Uh-huh?"
She continued staring at him as if to say, Go on…
Grandpa Max coughed, spread his arms as if it were obvious, and said,
"They have plumbing in China too, you know?"
"Pfft—"
Hearing his response, Ben laughed but quickly covered his mouth to stop himself…
"What's wrong?" Grandpa Max looked at him in confusion…
"No, nothing. Let's go look around the town…" he said.
The four watched the parade happening in front of them…
In the square, Ms. Liang was giving a speech…
Ben stared at her…
She looked quite different from the series…

She had silky black hair that framed her face neatly, slightly longer than shoulder length, with a few loose strands falling near her cheeks.

"Nice to know we made an impression," the insect guy said.
"Bob told me about you. Where is Joe?" she asked him…
"Well, you will meet him soon enough…" he said, his eyes glowing as the insects wrapped around Miss Liang…
"What are you doing?" she asked with difficulty, trying to free herself, but it was no use…
She was helplessly brought over to the insect guy by the insects…
"Just bringing you home for dinner… You are the main course, hahaha," he replied…
She looked at him in horror…
"We need to take cover somewhere, quick! Follow me!" Max said and ran toward another alley…
There were some package boxes there, and they hid behind them…
Max, Ben, Gwen, and Keva looked at the insects chasing after people…
"What are we gonna do now?" Keva asked…
"Well, as always, time to save people…" Max said and looked at the three…
"I can't do much against these wasps. They are spreading around too much. I'll leave it to you guys," Keva said, looking toward Ben and Gwen…
Ben looked at Gwen and said, "You said, you have some wind tornado magic spells, right? Can you control the intensity, or will it affect the people around us too?"
Gwen understood his plan and nodded.
"It will work. With the Charms of Bezel, my control over magic increases too. As long as I create small tornadoes, it won't be much of a problem…"
"Good, let's do it that way…" Ben nodded.
They made their plan and acted upon it…
