[The Astral Tribunal - Cosmic High Court]
Panic had completely consumed the highest echelons of the multiverse.
The swirling galaxies around the Astral Tribunal were flashing a violent, toxic neon-red. The three colossal Arbiters, the supreme judges of the cosmos, were screaming as their omnipotent floating ledgers were rapidly encrypted by thick, glowing golden chains of malicious code.
Agent Vane floated in the center of the chaos, frantically swiping at his holographic interface.
[SYSTEM LOCKED. ALL TAX RECORDS ENCRYPTED BY PANTHEON GROUP.]
"The entire astral registry is compromised!" Vane yelled over the cosmic alarms. "The ransomware has locked out the sovereign wealth records of four billion dimensions! We don't know who owes what! The multiverse's economy is entirely paralyzed!"
A massive spatial portal ripped open directly over the Arbiters' nebula bench.
Victor Thorne stepped onto the marble platform. He was flanked by Princess Ignis and Seraphina. He did not look like a mortal standing before Gods; he looked like a CEO walking into a failing subsidiary.
"You dare show your face here?!" the center Arbiter roared, raising a hand of condensed starlight to smite the Tycoon. "You have corrupted the divine archives! Release the decryption key immediately!"
"Or what?" Victor asked smoothly, his Tycoon's Aura flaring to meet the divine pressure. "You'll sue me? You can't. Your legal records are encrypted. You'll fine me? You can't. You don't have access to your own bank accounts. Right now, the ARS doesn't exist. You are just three oversized bureaucrats floating in the dark."
Vane gritted his teeth. "You are extorting the universe, Thorne. What is the ransom?"
"I don't hold data for ransom, Agent Vane. I charge a premium IT consultation fee for emergency data recovery," Victor tapped his fountain pen against the Tycoon's Ledger.
"I will decrypt your servers. But the price is not Gold," Victor announced, projecting a massive, golden contract into the stars. "I want a systemic regulatory change."
Victor looked up at the towering Arbiters.
"Effective immediately, the Astral Tribunal will officially recognize Pantheon Tokens as the universal reserve fiat currency," Victor declared, referring to the worthless digital currency he had invented in Aethelgard. "Gold is no longer the cosmic standard. You will mandate that all inter-dimensional trade, all tax payments, and all sovereign debts be converted into my proprietary tokens."
Elara, watching through a scrying orb back at the Academy, covered her mouth in absolute shock. Victor wasn't just conquering markets anymore. He was seizing control of the multiversal central bank.
"You want us to legitimize your fake digital currency?!" the Arbiter bellowed. "If we do that, you control the inflation rate of the entire cosmos! You will own the concept of wealth itself!"
"That is the definition of a monopoly, yes," Victor checked his gold Rolex, snapping it shut with a click that echoed louder than the alarms. "You have sixty seconds to sign the decree. Or I delete the decryption key, and the multiverse reverts to a barter economy."
Trapped, humiliated, and completely locked out of their own universe, the three Gods of the Astral Tribunal lowered their heads and signed the corporate decree.
