Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Sitting at Home, Wealth Falls From the Sky!

Half an hour later.

A Quinjet arrived on the outskirts of Binghamton in upstate New York, landing on the highway right outside the estate gates.

Researchers in white lab coats directed the agents to unload three silver cryogenic storage cases from the rear cargo ramp.

Seeing that S.H.I.E.L.D. was playing nice and had delivered the items he needed so quickly, Harvey was very satisfied.

He pointed his hand, casting the Levitation Charm.

The three silver cryogenic storage cases, each about five meters in size, levitated into the air, flew into the estate, and vanished from sight.

Then, under the vigilant gazes of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, he left behind a simple "Good job" and turned to walk back through the estate gates.

"Boss, this guy is too arrogant. Are we really not going to do anything?"

"Yeah, he killed a lot of colleagues we knew. We have to avenge our fallen comrades!"

"Listen, our mission is solely to transport the cargo!"

The agents discussed in hushed, lowered voices.

Only after the target had walked into the estate and disappeared from view did the lead field agent order: "Let's go. The mission is complete. Return to headquarters and report."

Soon, the Quinjet's engines started up, long plumes of cyan-red flame shooting from the rear thrusters.

Powered by the surging thrust, the jet took off vertically, continuously accelerating as it flew back toward S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

Harvey, meanwhile, took the three silver storage cases back to the secret underground laboratory of the estate.

He opened the storage cases.

"Hiss—"

A massive amount of vaporized cold air billowed out.

The mangled, fragmented remains of the Fire Phoenix, Nine-Tailed Fox, and Qilin corpses were stored in individual rectangular gray metal compartments.

There were also six large, neatly arranged blood collection bags filled with the mythical beasts' blood.

"Damn it, more than half the magical energy inside the mythical beast materials has leaked out. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s preservation methods are far too crude!"

Feeling his heart ache for the loss, Harvey hurriedly took out specialized magical material jars and vials to transfer and store these precious materials.

After sorting and inventorying everything.

He had obtained a total of 237 Fire Phoenix feathers, roughly 15 ounces of Phoenix blood, and five pieces of Phoenix tailbone, each about two inches long.

There were also 16 pounds of Phoenix flesh, heart, and other organ materials.

The Fire Phoenix was incredibly rare in the world; the value of these materials was immeasurable.

The various materials from the Nine-Tailed Fox added up to about 20 pounds. Because this magical creature didn't exist in the Harry Potter world, its value was hard to estimate.

But as a completely unheard-of magical creature material, Professor Snape would definitely be highly interested.

As for the final Qilin corpse, they were relatively common in the wizarding world, but one of this massive size—with all its materials adding up to about 40 pounds—was worth at least fifty thousand Galleons.

"Sitting at home and wealth just falls from the sky. Freeloading these spoils of war from S.H.I.E.L.D. is an absolute steal!"

Looking at the neatly categorized, fully stocked potion storage cabinets, Harvey's face was beaming with smiles.

"It's just about time for my appointment with Professor Snape. I'll take a portion of the Nine-Tailed Fox materials back and see what he thinks."

He opened a cross-world portal.

On the large east lawn of Hogwarts Castle, a dozen or so young wizards were riding flying broomsticks, wobbling unsteadily through the sky.

They were likely first-years currently taking a flying lesson.

Harvey levitated straight out from the balcony of his Ravenclaw Tower dormitory and descended to the entrance of the castle's Great Hall.

"Look! That scumbag Harvey is back!"

"Shh... that big liar has a really good relationship with Professor Snape. If he hears you calling him by his nickname, watch out or the Professor will deduct House points..."

Harvey cast a cold side-eye at the upper-year students gathered in the corner of the Great Hall.

"Merlin's socks, he heard us, run!"

After scaring away the gossipy young wizards, he continued down the marble staircase to the dungeons to find Professor Snape's office.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

He knocked politely a few times.

Without waiting for a response, Harvey cast Alohomora. With a click, the lock opened, and he pushed the door and walked into the office impatiently.

"Professor? Are you in?"

The dim, gloomy office was empty, but there was some noise coming from the adjacent potion brewing room.

He continued into the potion brewing room.

He saw Professor Snape standing at the brewing station, busy adding ingredients to a cauldron.

Harvey asked anxiously, "Professor, have you finished perfecting the recipe for the physique potion?"

Without even looking up, the gaunt figure of the old bat replied, "Almost. Just a little bit more!"

Full of anticipation, Harvey walked around to the other side of the brewing station. Seeing the old bat's messy, greasy hair and haggard face, he asked in surprise:

"Professor, you haven't gone a long time without resting, have you?"

Snape kept a straight face, looked up, shot Harvey a glare, and said expressionlessly:

"Did you think researching a new recipe would be easy? To save time, researching day and night has practically become my normal routine."

With that, he lowered his head again and cast Incendio, causing a cluster of green magical flames to erupt beneath the cauldron.

Seeing that the ingredients the old bat was adding included a heart sample from the test subject, Harvey couldn't help but ask:

"Are you brewing the new physique potion?"

When officially beginning to brew a potion, Snape entered a state of intense concentration. Disturbed by Harvey's voice, he snapped impatiently:

"Get the hell out of here first. Don't interrupt my brewing. When it's successful, I will naturally notify you."

Hearing the old bat kicking him out, Harvey didn't dare argue, terrified that his interference might cause the potion to fail.

"Alright, Professor. I'll be staying at school for a while. I'll be waiting for your good news."

With that, Harvey left the office.

While walking up the stairs, he pondered where to go next.

Although the old bat said it was 'just a little bit more', researching a new potion was entirely dependent on luck.

It might take another ten days to half a month.

There was no need for him to stay cooped up at Hogwarts the whole time. He planned to first take the Qilin materials he had just acquired and hand them over to Hermione to sell in Diagon Alley.

Such a massive batch of precious Qilin materials couldn't necessarily be completely bought out by a single potion shop; selling them would be very troublesome.

Moreover, he might run into unscrupulous merchants teaming up to drive down the price. It was better to let Hermione handle this kind of annoying chore.

Having made up his mind, Harvey opened a portal directly in the stairwell, arriving in Hogsmeade village near Hogwarts.

It was still winter in January. Goose-feather snow painted the roofs of all the buildings in the village white, and a thin layer of snow covered the streets.

This village, where the vast majority of wizards in the British wizarding world gathered, was built in a valley in the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by dense forests and high mountains.

After acquiring the qualifications to graduate early, Harvey purchased a house in Hogsmeade village to serve as the daily residence for himself and Hermione.

After all, it was very close to Hogwarts School, making it convenient for Hermione to go to the school library to look up books or go to the Forbidden Forest to gather materials.

Right now, Harvey was walking into Hogsmeade village, passing Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop and Honeydukes Sweetshop.

When he passed by the Three Broomsticks pub, he remembered that his stock was running low.

He turned and walked into the pub, skillfully purchasing a batch of slushie-style Butterbeer, Perry, iced tea, and other drinks from the proprietress, Madam Rosmerta.
