Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: How Can One Grow Without Weathering the Storm?

Harvey was slightly surprised. He hadn't expected Hermione to gain a new nickname, but the situation was urgent, and he didn't have time to gather too much intel.

"Professor, I'll go find trouble for Voldemort first. I'll properly thank you for the physique potion when I return."

He waved goodbye to Professor Snape and hurried out of the office.

After leaving the school, Harvey pondered for a moment.

He used the magical badge he had given Hermione, mobilizing his mana to sense the direction.

"Southwest!"

That direction was Hogsmeade Village.

Without making any visible movement, he simply used a thought.

A portal immediately appeared before him.

Arriving at Hogsmeade, many buildings were severely damaged, and there wasn't a single soul to be seen on the streets.

"No wizards are even using spells to repair the damaged buildings. It seems the current situation is grim."

Before even seeing Hermione, a shadow fell over Harvey's heart.

"Hermione couldn't be injured, could she?"

The thought made his heart skip a beat.

Disdaining the slowness of walking, he levitated into the air and flew to the door of his house, pulling out his brass key to open it.

"Hermione? Are you home?"

Following his senses, Harvey saw the magical badge sitting on the living room table.

Seeing the badge there, his face instantly turned incredibly grim.

Logically, Hermione would always carry the magical badge with her. Had something really happened to her?

He strode to the table and picked up the badge, examining it closely.

After a moment, his furrowed brows relaxed.

He reached for the hidden latch on the back of the badge and tinkered with it for a bit.

He pulled out a strip of paper rolled into a fine cylinder.

[Room of Requirement]

Seeing those three words, Harvey quickly understood.

In an increasingly dangerous wizarding world, nowhere was safe to hide, and it might even endanger the innocent.

After all, those ruthless Death Eaters frequently used the Imperius Curse or torture to track their leads.

Therefore, the safest place was naturally Hogwarts Castle, with Dumbledore holding the fort.

And Harvey had been the one to tell her about the Room of Requirement the year before last, to appease Hermione's anger after the love letter incident exploded.

"Hermione is clever enough. But hiding in the school isn't entirely safe either; those Slytherin students are the eyes and ears of the Death Eaters."

"You can't guard against a thief forever. It seems I have to take the initiative and crush Voldemort myself!"

"Three Voldemorts? Hmph. To me, they're just three slightly larger pieces of trash."

Having figured it all out, he opened a portal.

Arriving on the seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle, he repeated in his mind: I need a secret room that no one knows about.

After walking past the tapestry three times...

The white wall shimmered, the bricks parted, and a smooth door appeared.

He stepped into the secret room provided by the Room of Requirement.

Sure enough, Hermione, along with Harry Potter and Ron, were there with five or six of their recently graduated classmates from the resistance.

They were huddled around a simple long table draped in red cloth, eating dinner.

Though the furniture and utensils were crude, the food on the table had been delivered by the house-elves from the Hogwarts kitchens—a full dozen platters of various delicious dishes.

After all, life on the run was already desperate enough; the resistance wouldn't mistreat their own when it came to food.

"Mr. Harvey?"

"Harvey?"

"My God, darling, you're finally back!"

The group saw Harvey appear and stopped enjoying their meal one after another.

Harvey walked over to Hermione's side. An observant girl with freckles who had been sitting there immediately gave up her seat.

Taking the seat unceremoniously, Harvey began to devour the food in front of him without a word.

It happened that he hadn't eaten in nearly two months. Although his internal mana could act as energy for his body to an extent...

After a long time without food, he was still hungry.

Harry Potter asked with a face full of curiosity, "Harvey, where have you been these past two months?"

"We've nearly died several times during this period, almost getting caught by the Death Eaters."

"If it weren't for Hermione using portals to get us out at the last second every time, we would have already become new ghosts under Voldemort's hand."

Harvey muttered between bites, "How can one grow without weathering the storm?"

"The struggle against Voldemort isn't a game of playing house. Only through rigorous tempering can you all learn to stand on your own in the future."

"Besides, aren't I here now?"

Ron's brain wasn't his strong suit, and he couldn't follow these grand philosophies. He was anxious to interject but couldn't get a word in, his face turning red from the effort.

Once Harvey finally finished his slow delivery of platitudes, Ron immediately cut in: "Harvey, you're the only one who can save the wizarding world now."

"At first, Voldemort would hide himself, directing the Death Eaters from behind the scenes to launch attacks."

"But since you haven't appeared for a long time, Voldemort has grown bolder and bolder. Now he actually dares to lead the Death Eaters in broad daylight to storm the school."

"Only you can eliminate this cancer that is Voldemort!"

Good lord, why was he being crowned as the Savior now?

Harvey immediately put on a humble, 'don't say that' expression.

"I can't possibly bear the title of Savior. Harry Potter is the Savior."

Harry Potter looked incredibly embarrassed at those words. Although he considered himself strong, it depended on who he was being compared to.

Right now, his strength was only slightly better than an ordinary Auror, and only by a very limited margin.

In the dozen or so skirmishes that had occurred over the past two months几乎 every major contribution had been made by Hermione.

While his own contributions weren't small, he was essentially just another member of the resistance.

Currently, many within the resistance were whispering behind his back, feeling that Harry's strength wasn't enough to command authority.

Harry Potter heard these rumors and wanted to argue, but everyone could see clearly who the MVP of every battle was.

Consequently, his position in the resistance was currently very awkward.

He was ostensibly the leader, but in reality, the people under him didn't really listen to him.

So, he really wanted to speak up and refute Harvey's 'Savior' comment.

But Harvey held up a hand, gesturing for them to listen to him first.

"Having allowed Voldemort to rampage for two months, I'm sure many wizards are utterly disgusted by this bottomless white terror."

"This also means that now that the entire wizarding world has a grievance against Voldemort, as long as we eliminate him, that massive number of Death Eaters will be nothing but a minor irritation."

"And the Pure-blood families that supported Voldemort will instantly fall from grace. The entire wizarding world will be reshuffled, and interests will be redistributed."

"Once everyone has been allocated enough of the pie, this magical war that has swept the world will quickly come to an end."

Ron opened his mouth to interrupt, but Harvey spotted him and gave him a warning glare.

A pouting Ron had no choice but to shut his mouth and continue listening intently.

"I know you can't understand what I'm saying, but that doesn't matter."

"You just need to tell me: of the three Voldemorts currently appearing, do you have any concrete intelligence on their whereabouts?"
