He was beginning to love this new trait of his. Usually he wouldn't even have lasted half of the class period doing what he did with the buckets.
But now with the Big Battery trait, he did, and still had plenty of juice in the tank, as he carried his legs into class to pack his stuff, and head home.
Although that was not before he found himself surrounded by a gaggle of brats trying, and miserably failing to intimidate him.
Leading the group were a smirking Kiba, and a somewhat apologetic, but still no less curious Naruto, as Kiba suddenly pointed a finger accusingly at him.
"There's nowhere left for you to hide Ichimura! Now tell us where you often disappear to during lunch or you're gonna get it!"
It was adorable more than anything, the way they puffed their chest, and spread their arms to make themself look bigger.
So he chose to humor them and asked.
"Get what exactly?"
"What?" The Inuzuka asked, confused, so he elaborated.
"You said I'm gonna get it if I don't spill everything. So for funsies, what am I going to get if I don't? Hypothetically speaking of course."
"Hypothetically?" "Hypothically?" Naruto, and Kiba both chymed in.
"It means what if dopes." The Nara helpfully explained from the side, looking way too done with this entire charade.
Poor guy was probably roped into this by Ino, and Choji no doubt.
"Cool!" Naruto nodded, unlike Kiba who stammered, his cheeks turned red from embarrassment.
"Oh, I—I uh know that."
"Sure you do."
"Right, of course I do, and you're uh… you're gonna get uh… DAMN IT! Just tell us, you stingy bastard!."
It was funny if not a bit adorable. Kiba for all his false bravado was no bully.
And try as he might, the kid was not the type to stoop so low as to bully his way to an answer.
Shame not all of them were like Kiba though…
"Argh! Enough Kiba, let me handle this." One of the no name canon fodder screamed from his 1 o'clock.
His name was Unagi if he remembered correctly, that one kid with them lazy eyes. He was part of the group that used to pick on Naruto just for shits and giggles before said Ninja Jesus put on a few more pounds, and started trouncing them in most confrontations, even if he more often than not got into trouble for it.
Naruto's academic skills might have been subpar, but his taijutsu only ranking was often equal to that of his, and lacking only behind Kiba, and Sasuke, and perhaps Hinata, and Choji if they ever decided to go all out.
"Uragi right?" He asked just for funsies
"It's Unagi teme! And you're going to tell us where you've been hiding during lunch, or we're going to beat the ever living crap out of you. I have a lot of money weighing on this so you better start talking."
The atmosphere suddenly turned downright volatile, as the one large gaggle of children were suddenly divided into two groups, and one person.
The first group, consisted of the original Konoha 12 alongside most of the riff raffs, looked downright reluctant to continue this charade.
Heck even Naruto was seconds away from jumping to defend him but he shot the loudmouth a look since he didn't want the dope to escalate the matter.
The other, on the other hand, were Unagi's close friends who started cracking their knuckles in anticipation.
And of course the last lone person was the duckbutt who by the rule of cool was obligated to stand apart from the rest with a faux-uncaring expression.
Or at least that was the case before a tch broke the silence as the resident cloud watcher stepped up.
"This is starting to get troublesome, Kento, I'm with you if you don't want to tell us, but it might be less troublesome if you do."
"Traitor!" The bully squawked.
"Traitor? You do know that it's often frowned upon by shinobies when one starts prying into one's ally's skillsets without their explicit permission right? In some cases, it is a downright crime in the form of jutsu, or Bloodline's theft if you start forcing their hands. The only reason we're even remotely curious about this is because it's one week away from graduation so we might never get the chance to find out about how, or where Kento's been disappearing to, and the fact that I'm quite certain that what he has been doing are fairly basic genin level skills."
So that was why they started pressuring him. Although Shikamaru was right on the money, since wall walking was no secret technique, and he was going to show them eventually, at least that was until these kids started threatening him.
Now, however? Kento smirks, he thinks he just might have to teach them a lesson.
