"Young Master!" Our grandmother was calling you!" His cousins called him
"I'm coming!" Gin Zhua shouted
Minutes later he arrived at his grandmother's room, the room felt cold and chilly. "What is it grandma?" he smiled and added "do you want something?"
"Yes.. i want to give you something before i die..." Her voice were hoarse
"What do you mean grandma... You can't say that!.." Gin Zhua voice were shaking "Your not dying! you have the k-key right?"
"Yes my child. But i cannot longer to keep this pain anymore, you will have the key.." her voice were serious, She reached into her pocket and gave him the key necklace.
"W-wait grandma.. isn't this too fast? I'm just a fourth master in Fen Lian Zong, I don't even know how to rule the lotus shrine yet.. I'm still a teenager though" His voice were shaking as if he was scared to lose someone.
"Did you know that i ruled the lotus shrine in your age too?" She coughed "You need to learn my child... always remember to protect the key and never hand it to anyone else.." she said seriously
"B-But…" he hesitated. His grandmother looked at him, and he could only sigh."I-..I promise grandma.. I will never ever betray your words.." his voice were hoarse as he added "My birthday is tomorrow, grandma.. do you still have the chance to attend?"
"I will try, my child…" she said, her voice trembling as she coughed. "But from now on… go. Go and seek the answers you have questioned since you were a kid. Return to the Lotus Shrine and awaken it. From this moment forward, you shall see both the past and the future."
She coughed again, her breath weakening.
"You are now the one… the only keeper of this key. Even if you die, take it… and protect it."
Gin Zhua looked at his weak grandmother as she handed the key necklace to him, then takes the key from his grandmothers hand "Mark my words grandma.. i will protect this key no matter what." his voice were shaking "Even though I'm not good at it.. I will try this for my sake."
His grandmother smiled at him, almost proud.
He stormed out of the room and made his way to the Lotus Shrine. The wind was getting cold.
"It was almost winter, and I was about to turn sixteen tomorrow" Gin Zhua Muttered, his breath was warm against the cold air.
Gin Zhua let out a breath, the air from his mouth barely visible against the stillness around him. He was holding a key in his hand, a key that cultivators like his grandmother used to call it as Celestial Lock. The key was shining a little, like it still had some kind of power inside it.
Gin Zhua realizes he arrived at the lotus shrine,
Gin Zhua did not wait, he just walked into the Lotus Shrine.
The place was really quiet, so quiet that even the sound of his feet on the floor seemed loud. The sound was bouncing off the old walls. The air felt heavy, like the shrine had been waiting for something to happen.
Then he saw it, the thing that caught his attention.
A single book was sitting on a stone pedestal it was locked with a lock on it. Plants had started to grow around the book. This made Gin Zhua feel something it felt like he was almost feeling nostalgic.
Gin Zhua was drawn to the book, he did not know why. He could not stop himself from walking closer. Each step he took felt heavier. But he kept going. When he got to the pedestal he raised his hand, the Celestial Lock key was still in his hand.
Then something happened...
End of prologue.
