"number 23,Ms. Rose Grant, have you been able to reach your family"
The nurse asked for what felt like the hundredth time. Rose looked down at her phone. Jay Kim phone was still unreachable.
A multiple - vehicle collision had occurred on rivers City North third ring elevated road.....a bus had overturned and fallen Into the river. Dozen of injured people were sent to the hospital, and their families were arriving one after the another. Only her family hadn't been contacted yet.
The horror of the accident scene was still fresh in her mind , but the fear couldn't compare to the coldness she felt now
She suddenly wondered if she were to die in this accident today, would there even be anyone to claim her body?
" Ms. Grant" Rose snapped back to reality. The mottled blood stains on her body made her face look transparently pale. Her voice was some what hoarse, but she remained composed and polite. " I'm sorry,my husband must be busy. Can I sign the forms myself?"
" I'm sorry, but without a family's member signature, we recommend you stay for observation. A concussion can be serious, and we need to be responsible for your life"
Rose purses her lips "then I'll try again". She left the ward with her phone. Two nurses pushing a medical cart passed by. She stepped aside slightly to let them pass, and overheard one of the them saying,"do you know who's in ward sixteen"
"Who?"
"Candice! The bis star ! You know,the female lead in that popular drama, ' mysterious lovers!'"
"OH MY GOD! is she seriously injured"
" Just a few scrapes on her arms on her arm,they'd have healed if she came any later. But she's a big star, she makes a living off her face, so she's naturally more delicate than us ordinary people. If I looked that pretty , if insure my whole body!"
"OH and I saw her boyfriend! The one she was photographed with at lakeside Villa a while ago! " Rose stopped in her tracks
"Install and handsome and judging by his clothes he must be rich. Most importantly he's good to Candice. He rushed over as soon as he accident happened, when through the hospitals VIP channel, and stay with her the whole time. Is just not fair..."
The two nurses voices faded away. Rose gripped her phone tighter and tighter, her knuckles turning white.
Outside ward sixteen jayKim was talking to Candice manager. They were far enough away that Rose couldn't hear anything but she inexplicably felt that he was questioning them about Candice accident. She took out her phone and dialed Jay Kim's number.
Jay Kim paused. Glanced at his phone , and he's already furrowed brows furrowed even deeper. He answered the phone , is impatient voice coming from the other end ,"what is it?"
" Where are you?". Roses voice were hoarse, with a hint of fragility. Jay Kim didn't notice and said coldly, "at the company".
"Does the Kim family Enterprise is also have a stake in the hospital?"
Jay Kim stopped in his tracks, Jesus expression darkening "you're stalking me?" Rose Grant almost I swelled up with tears. The annoyance in his eyes made her heart clench "Mr Kim , you think too highly of me", she passed, then added,"I saw it on the news. Someone looked a lot like you, so I was just asking". Jay Kim answered her with one word---"BORING" ---then hung up and went into the ward. Rose mild self depreciatingly. It was indeed pretty boring, having seen everything and still make a call to humiliate herself.
