Dinner ended in a relaxed atmosphere.

Misty took the initiative to help clear the table, and Delia also stood up to help.

Jenny was going to boil water for tea, but Roy stood up.

"I'm going out for a walk," he said.

"This late?" Delia turned to look at him, her eyes showing some worry.

"It's fine, just walking around nearby." Roy patted her shoulder. "I ate too much, need to digest."

Jenny reminded him, "Mr. Roy, it's best not to go to those secluded places at night. Especially those 'danger zones' marked on the flyers."

Her gaze was serious as she spoke.

The sense of responsibility she had while wearing her police uniform during the day was still present even in her casual home clothes.

"Don't worry." Roy nodded. "I know what I'm doing."

He called out to Pikachu, "Let's go, walk with me."

"Pika~"

Pikachu jumped onto his shoulder.

Delia walked him to the courtyard gate and whispered, "Come back early..."

"Mhm." Roy gave her a light kiss on the lips. "Leave the door unlocked for me."

Delia's face reddened, and she nodded gently... Walking out of the small courtyard, the night had completely enveloped Maiden Gorge.

The streets were still lit, but there were far fewer pedestrians.

The festival wouldn't start until tomorrow, so the town was still relatively quiet tonight.

Roy didn't linger on the streets but headed straight toward the edge of town.

The places he was going were exactly those "haunted areas" marked on the flyers during the day.

Soon, Roy arrived at the first location.

Maiden's Cliff.

According to legend, the maiden who waited a thousand years for her lover jumped off this cliff to her death.

Of course, legends are just legends.

The reality was that the Thousand-Year Gastly used Hypnosis here every year to create illusions and scare tourists, occasionally hiding a person or two to create "disappearance" incidents.

Roy stood at the edge of the cliff, looking down at the pitch-black sea below.

The night sea breeze was strong, making his clothes flutter loudly.

"Time to get to work."

He pulled several small audio devices out of his backpack.

He had prepared these before coming to Maiden Gorge, originally intended for playing music during wilderness travels, but now they came in handy.

Roy hid the audio equipment in rock crevices at the cliff's edge, in bushes, and several inconspicuous corners.

Then he connected them to a portable power source and a remote receiver.

After setting everything up, he pressed the test button.

"Woo... woo woo..."

A mournful, faint sound of a woman crying emanated from several speakers simultaneously.

The sound wasn't loud, but in the silent night, especially by this legendary haunted cliff, it was eerie enough.

Roy adjusted the volume, making the crying sound more ethereal, sometimes far and sometimes near.

"The effect is good."

He nodded with satisfaction and put away the remote control.

then,He released the giant butterfly..

"Butterfree, release some glowing scales in this forest. Keep them sparse; we want to create the effect of drifting Will-O-Wisps."

"Free~"

Butterfree nodded and flew gracefully into the forest.

Soon, bits of pale green fluorescence began to flicker among the trees, like countless drifting Will-O-Wisps or legendary spirits wandering about.

Roy then released Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, go above those large trees and flap your wings against the branches to create strange shadows. The shadows should be distorted, looking like swaying human figures."

"Pidgey~"

Pidgeotto spread its wings and flew up, weaving through the treetops.

It deliberately struck the branches with its wings while flexibly adjusting its flight angle.

Under the moonlight, the shadows of the swaying branches cast on the ground were distorted and shifting, indeed looking as if something was moving in the forest.

Finally, it was Charmeleon and Pikachu.

"You two, run along the edge of the forest. Charmeleon, occasionally spit out small Embers, but don't actually set anything on fire. Pikachu, use Thunder Shock to create momentary electric sparks."

"Char!"

"Pika!"

The two Pokémon took their orders and immediately sprang into action.

Charmeleon darted through the woods, occasionally opening its mouth to spit out a small ball of eerie blue flame—a well-controlled Ember that wasn't very hot but had an excellent visual effect.

Pikachu hopped around, the electric sacs on its cheeks occasionally bursting with tiny electric sparks that crackled in the darkness and vanished in a flash.

Standing on the outskirts, Roy smiled with satisfaction as he watched the area quickly become "haunted and eerie."

These setups, combined with the occasional illusions Gastly added using Hypnosis, were enough to create a terrifying atmosphere.

And it was completely controllable, without actually hurting anyone... Roy followed the same pattern, spending over two hours setting up all five "haunted areas" marked on the flyer.

Every location had audio equipment playing eerie sounds.

Every forest had Butterfree's glowing scales, Pidgeotto's eerie shadows, and the "supernatural phenomena" created by Charmeleon and Pikachu.

In fact, after years of horror legends and Gastly's pranks, almost no one dared to come to these places at night anyway.

Roy made a round of all the areas to test the effects.

As it turned out... there really were some daredevils.

At the third location, the edge of the "Ghost Forest," Roy heard strange noises.

He approached quietly.

Moonlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, faintly illuminating the scene in the forest clearing.

A young couple.

They looked like tourists who had come for the Summer Festival, both young, around twenty years old.

Hiding behind the bushes.

They clearly weren't there for exploration; they were hugging and being intimate.

"Mmm... gentler..."

"What are you afraid of? There's no one here..."

"But... legend says there are ghosts here..."

"There are no ghosts, it's all just scary talk... Come on, turn around..."

Roy couldn't help but shake his head.

Coming to a legendary haunted place late at night for a tryst, how much guts did they have?

He didn't want to disturb them at first.

But after thinking about it, he decided to "help" them out.

After all, this was his horror atmosphere setup zone, and he needed to test the effects.

Besides... this kind of place really wasn't suitable for doing such things.

Roy quietly stepped back a few paces and then pressed the remote control.

"Woo... woo woo woo..."

A shrill woman's cry suddenly echoed in the forest!

Simultaneously, Butterfree's glowing scales drifted up all around, the points of fluorescence looking like countless eyes staring at them.

Pidgeotto flapped its wings against the branches at the right moment, making distorted shadows sway in the clearing.

Charmeleon spat out a ball of eerie blue flame in the distance.

Pikachu made electric sparks crackle and flash among the bushes.

"Ah!" The woman screamed, pushing her boyfriend off her.

The man was also so scared he shuddered and went limp.

"G-ghost! A ghost!"

"Run!"

The couple grabbed their clothes from the ground and ran out of the forest with their bare butts... Roy stood in the shadows, holding back his laughter.

After such a scare, these two probably wouldn't dare to mess around in the wild again for a while.

They might even have psychological trauma in the future.

"Done."

He put away the remote and turned to leave... By the time he finished setting up all the areas, it was already past eleven at night.

When Roy returned to Jenny's courtyard, it was silent inside.

Misty and Jenny should have already gone to sleep.

Roy walked quietly toward his room; the guest room Jenny had arranged for him was on the east side of the first floor.

As he reached the door, his footsteps paused.

His Aura Power sensed that someone was in the room.

A familiar Aura.

Warm, gentle, with a hint of anticipation and shyness.

It was Delia.

The corners of Roy's mouth curled up as he gently pushed open the door.

The lights weren't on in the room; only moonlight streamed in through the window.

On the bed, the quilt was slightly bulged.

Roy closed the door and walked to the bedside.

He pulled back the quilt.

Delia was indeed inside.

She wasn't wearing pajamas, only wrapped in a thin blanket.

The moonlight shone on her face; those gentle eyes were looking at him, filled with a smile and a hint of shyness.

"Where did you go~" Delia said softly, her voice sweet and soft. "It's already midnight."

"Taking care of some small matters." Roy sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to touch her face. "Setting up some things to ensure the festival's safety."

"Mhm..." Delia nuzzled against his hand. "Are you tired?"

"Not tired." Roy leaned down and gave her a light kiss on the lips. "And you? Did you do what I told you?"

Delia's face turned even redder.

She nodded gently, her eyes darting away for a moment before she mustered the courage to look at Roy again.

"Of course I kept it in mind~"

As she spoke, she slowly sat up.

The blanket slipped down.

Under the moonlight, Delia's intent was fully revealed before Roy's eyes—purple hollow-out lace.

This set complemented Delia's mature and curvaceous figure perfectly.

Her waist was slender, her hips full, and her legs long.

Roy's eyes darkened.

"So sexy~" he whispered, his hand already moving to Delia's waist.

Delia's body trembled slightly, but she didn't pull away.

Instead, she leaned closer, wrapping her arms around Roy's neck, her breath like orchids in his ear:

"Then tonight... do you want to eat, or do you want to~"

Her voice was very low, filled with shyness, yet bold enough to make one's heart race.

Roy laughed.

He grabbed Delia's waist and pressed her down onto the bed.

"Does that even need asking?"

"I want it all."

Roy chuckled, pulled up the quilt to cover both of them, and got straight to the point...
