Naruto Uzumaki was just your typical aspiring ninja he liked ramen went to the academy every day you know the normal stuff?
Sure not everyone liked him especially the villagers but hey who cares what they think? One of Naruto's favorite things to do was playing video games. It was one of his favorite pastimes it didn't require him to socialize and best of all old man Hokage paid for all of it.
He thought it was his escape until he stumbled on one specific genre of dating sims
"THIS SUCKS" Naruto threw his controller frustrated. The young blonde had been trying to romance the main girl for the past 6 hours, failing miserably
"It's no use I do one thing and her gauge goes up and I do another thing, and her gauge goes down, it's like there's no satisfying her"
The game Naruto was playing was rather popular among the female and male populations it uses a gauge-based system where doing certain things to please and displease the characters would make the gauge go up and down, respectively.
Getting characters' gauges to max would allow you to not only progress in the game but also give rewards unfortunately for Naruto he sucked at relationships no matter if the game was digital or not
Naruto sighed he looked at the characters he successfully managed to romance. When the player successfully manages to increase a character's gauge to maximum you romance them allowing you to unlock new quests to romance other characters
So far Naruto has only managed to romance a random guy at the train station and a random schoolgirl. He threw his controller in frustration again
"Screw this I'm going to sleep dating sims are lame anyway" the blonde said with a huff with his little outburst over he turned off the console and headed to bed little did he know his world was about to change forever for better or for worse
He opened his eyes only to see a transparent pink screen in front of him he simply got up out of bed and started doing his morning routine brushing his teeth, showering, taking out the trash until he finally noticed it.
"HUH" Naruto tripped and landed on his ass when he saw the screen he rubbed his eyes before looking at the screen again

Each character has a gauge fills it up to certain point's to earn rewards
Naruto was starting to get a headache "This is just like that shitty dating sim game" he said with annoyance

Here you can see the characters you have and are currently romancing. The player can track their gauge the perks you get from them the current amount of affection points you have and the quest they give
Quest?Affection points? Perks? Naruto was starting to get confused
Quest
Each character gives a quest that can either make their gauge go up or down depending on how and if they are completed or accepted
Does that mean accepting and not accepting a quest still affects the gauge?
Correct if you accept a quest it could make the gauge go up even without completion however if you deny a quest it could make it go down
The choice is up to the player! Be warned accepting a quest from one character could affect the gauge of another
Now Naruto was actually starting to get a headache this whole system thing was confusing and nuts he half hoped someone was putting a genjitsu on him

Here the player can use affection points earned through quests to purchase things there is a variety of things to purchase, from weapons to armor the choices are endless
Naruto only sighed this was gonna be a pain in the ass out of all things to get stuck with he got stuck with the damn dating sim system?
"Could be worse" he muttered under his breath
He started looking through the features of the system it seemed the current characters he could romance were
The hokage at 15% gauge
Iruka at 12% gauge
Hinata at 80% gauge
Kind ramen stand owner tsuchi at 13% gauge
And his daughter at 18% gauge
He sighed looking at the people he could romance why the hell was Hinata at 80% based on pure romantic love some things weren't adding up he wasn't even sure he had spoken to the girl before he pressed on her icon and saw that there were rewards he could claim
