"Because I felt like it," she replied calmly.
Without waiting for his response, she walked past them and left.
.
"Glad I found you," Angela said when she finally met Elsa.
Elsa smiled. "I've been practicing a new dance," she said. "But I don't have a proper team yet."
Angela sighed softly.
"I'm worried," she admitted. "I feel like Fiona might win the dance competition. We don't even have enough people to support us."
"Don't worry," Elsa said quickly. "I have two friends who can dance really well. Trust me, Angela, we can do this."
Angela's face lit up slightly.
"I don't know what I would do without you," she said, pulling Elsa into a warm hug.
Later on, Angela and Elsa attended their club meeting.
The room was already filled, and everyone's attention was focused on the stage.
Chris was singing.
Angela sat quietly at the back; her eyes fixed on him as she listened.
His voice was smooth and captivating.
He's such a good singer… she thought.
Her gaze slowly drifted to his lips, and for a brief moment, her imagination took over.
She pictured herself dancing with him… laughing… even kissing him.
A soft sigh escaped her.
Stop thinking about this brat! she scolded herself.
She was deeply drawn to him, more than she wanted to admit. Yet, whenever he was around, she forced herself to act distant.
When Chris finished singing, the room erupted into loud applause.
Some girls were called up to dance next. They performed well, earning cheers from the audience, but their performance didn't carry the same spark Angela had.
Elsa leaned toward the patron and suggested something quietly.
Moments later.
"Angela!" her name was called.
She looked surprised but stood up and walked confidently toward the stage.
As the music began, Angela started her performance.
Her movements were graceful, controlled, and full of emotion. Every step she took told a story. Her body flowed effortlessly with the rhythm, her flexibility and balance leaving the audience completely amazed.
The room fell silent.
All eyes were on her.
Chris watched from where he stood, clearly surprised.
She dances like this? he thought. She's… incredible.
Angela continued, pouring her heart into every movement.
When she finished, the entire room burst into thunderous applause.
Everyone was impressed.
"Wow…"
"She's amazing…"
"I've never seen anything like that…"
Voices filled the room with admiration.
Chris remained still for a moment, his eyes still on her.
"I guess Angela is truly one in a million," he thought quietly.
He frowned slightly, confused by his own reaction.
Is it just her dancing… or something more?
"That was really good, dear," Elsa said with a bright smile.
Angela sat down beside her, still catching her breath after the performance. At that moment, Chris glanced in her direction. Their eyes met briefly.
He smiled, but she frowned in return, quickly looking away.
Deep inside, however, her heart fluttered with quiet happiness.
That same evening, Angela and Elsa walked toward the school gate, chatting and laughing together.
"Did you see the way Chris looked at you?" Elsa said excitedly. "That was so romantic!"
Angela shook her head, trying to act indifferent.
"Oh, please… that was nothing. Chris is just… complicated," she replied. "Anyway, Fiona is going to be so embarrassed."
Elsa laughed softly. "I really hope you win the competition. I don't want Fiona to win."
Angela's lips curved into a confident smile.
"Trust me, Elsa," she said. "I'm going to make Fiona cry over this. She's already lost."
