"Yuna Ashford."
[Talent Awakened: Water Sense — C Rank]
[Bloodline Awakened: Aqua Serpent — Bronze Rank]
"Marcus Aldric."
[Talent Awakened: Battle Instinct — D-Rank]
[Bloodline Awakened: Stone Monkey— Iron Rank]
A golden pillar of light landed on Marcus body as the avatar merged with him.
"D-rank Battle Instinct. He's going to be a nightmare in the entrance exam."
Another dozen students followed A pair of C-ranks, two B-rank and the rest D to F ranks.
Then "Dane Whitmore" stepped up.
[Talent Awakened: Dim Sight — F Rank]
[Bloodline Awakened: Four-Legged Hare— Bronze Rank]
The hall went silent and erupted into laughter.
"That's rough," Finn murmured. "I hope that's not us."
"Loki Houdini."
There was an awkward silence that settled across the field and someone spoke what everyone was thinking.
"Houdini? As in the Traitor's Houdini?"
"Yup! That's him."
"His son came here?"
"He's still here? I thought he'd have dropped out by now."
Finn's jaw tightened. He glared at the spectator's seat and his checks puffed up and was about to speak. But Loki tapped him.
"Don't," Loki said, without looking at him.
He walked forward.
"Son of the Traitor."
"Always last during the training sessions"
"What's he even doing here, honestly."
Loki reached the platform. He wasn't the least bit nervous about his talent and bloodline as he had the system.
He placed his right palm flat on the surface.
Several students in the front row frowned. An instructor along the wall leaned forward slightly.
Then the display appeared.
[Ding! Character Loki Houdini created.]
[Gene confirmed.]
[Welcome to God and Devil Domain.]
[Talent Awakened: Nose Enhancement — F Rank]
[Bloodline Awakened: Dog — F Rank]
[Avatar Fusion: Activated.]
The light that came down was pale as it descended on him.
There was silence for more than 10 seconds.
Then everyone erupted into laughter. It was as thought this was the funniest thing he has seen all year.
"Nose Enhancement—"
"F-rank BOTH — he got F-rank both of them—"
"Dog bloodline. How does one even get a dog bloodline?! Even any bloodline is way better! Hahahaha. "
That one produced a fresh eruption, louder than the first.
From the gallery the second-years were leaning over the railing, a few of them pointing, one of them laughed hard he held the rail for support.
"Son of a traitors and now a Dog! One family, two disasters!"
"Woof woof, Houdini!"
"What do you expect? The apple doesn't fall far—"
"He should have stayed in whatever ditch he crawled out of—"
Loki face changed slightly. Although he didn't care, being mocked by thousands of people would make even the most composed persons composure crack.
From the corner of his eye he caught Instructor Griselda's reaction. She had stopped writing on her datapad. She was looking at him mockingly.
"As expected."
He pulled his hand off the crystal. Turned around and walked back to his position.
He found his spot beside Finn.
Finn's gaze hardened. His hands clenched as he stared at a specific group of people standing a few meters way from him.
"Finn, it's alright." Loki said quietly.
Finn didn't look at him. "They can't just—"
"Finn. You'd just get your ass beaten." He laughed as he joked.
Finn chuckled slightly at the joke. "At least I will take one down with me. Hehe."
Loki rolled his eyes. "You haven't even awakened yet."
