Chapter 174 - Sun Cu Arrived

Lin Yan had already prepared himself for the worst. All of his investments could fail, and they might even affect the developments he had already established

There was no avoiding it. This was a stage every Gu Immortal had to go through while managing a blessed land. Which Gu Immortal hadn't suffered repeated losses before accumulating enough experience to gradually build an ecosystem suited to their own blessed land?

"Next, it's time to introduce Desolate Beasts and Desolate Plants."

He still had more than one hundred and sixty immortal essence stones remaining. After a brief calculation, his thoughts turned to feeding his Immortal Gu.

Fire Control Immortal Gu had evolved step by step from Borrow Fire Gu, so its feeding requirements remained largely unchanged. It fed on the leaves of Attract Fire Immortal Bamboo, a Rank 6 Flame Path desolate plant evolved from Provoke Fire Bamboo. And Fire Escape Immortal Gu required the flesh and blood of the Flame Path desolate beast, Lava Bird.

Transform Fire Immortal Gu, however, was far more troublesome. It required large quantities of Rank 5 Rule Path Resonance Gu, supplemented by the immortal material Condensed Fire Resin. The latter could only be refined from Dry Yang Fire Jujube Trees, which was precisely why Lin Yan had planted them on such a large scale from the very beginning. They would also serve as the foundation for nurturing Desolate Plants in the future.

If he relied solely on the blessed land to produce these resources naturally, the process would take far too long. Without eighty to a hundred years of accumulation, it would be nearly impossible.

Feeding Immortal Gu was never easy. Every additional Immortal Gu meant another long-term burden that had to be carefully planned for.

With that in mind, Lin Yan immediately began making preparations. He sent his divine sense into Treasure Yellow Heaven to search for the Gu recipe of Resonance Gu. Although this Rule Path Gu worm was far less famous than Pair Gu, it was still relatively common. He spent one immortal essence stone to purchase the recipe, planning to refine it himself in the future.

His attention then turned to Desolate Beasts and Desolate Plants. A dead Desolate Beast or Desolate Plant cost more than forty immortal essence stones, while a living one was nearly twice as expensive, usually selling for eighty to one hundred immortal essence stones.

If he bought only two living Desolate Beasts or Desolate Plants, nearly all of his remaining immortal essence stones would be gone.

After a moment's thought, Lin Yan shook his head."Forget it. I'll catch them myself."

The first place that came to mind was the Blazing Yellow Heaven Pit. It was unfathomably deep and abundant in Flame Path resources, containing countless immortal materials, Flame Path Desolate Beasts, and Desolate Plants. It was an ideal place for his future cultivation, and there was even a chance of obtaining a wild Immortal Gu.

For now, however, that was still beyond his reach. His will withdrew from Treasure Yellow Heaven and returned to his blessed land. While keeping an eye on the newly introduced beast groups and vegetation, he continued deducing his killer moves. Skipping the second stage entirely, he directly began constructing killer moves with multiple Immortal Gu as their core.

He had a faint feeling that the Mo Family matter would not end so easily. Until it was resolved, every additional increase in battle strength meant another layer of security.

Several days passed in the blink of an eye.

Replies soon arrived from both Sun Cu and Tang Fangming. Sun Cu explained that he was currently visiting several super forces and would return as soon as possible. Tang Fangming, on the other hand, agreed to send an invitation to the Mo Family and arrange a meeting between both sides.

Not long afterward, Lin Yan saw Sun Cu hurrying toward the Huang Family, his clothes covered in dust.

As soon as they met, Sun Cu began pouring out his complaints. With a bitter smile, he said, "Brother Lin, you've only been a Gu Immortal for a month, yet you've already caused such a huge commotion. You actually captured two Gu Immortals from a super force. The Mo Family is furious now, and this matter has become quite troublesome."

Lin Yan smiled faintly. "Brother Sun, there's no need to worry. The Mo Family may be a super force, but it is also divided into many internal factions. They can't possibly mobilize all of their strength just to deal with me."

"Besides, judging from the Mo Family's response, the two Gu Immortals I captured likely don't hold much influence within the clan. Otherwise, an Immortal Gu House would have been dispatched the moment they were captured."

Sun Cu's bitter smile deepened as he shook his head. "Brother Lin, I truly admire your judgment and talent, but you've only recently become a Gu Immortal. You still don't fully understand what a Gu Immortal means to a super force."

Every Gu Immortal is a pillar of their faction. The manpower and resources invested in nurturing one are equivalent to hundreds, if not thousands, of Rank 5 Gu Masters. More importantly, they possess Immortal Gu and inherit the faction's true foundations. Losing even one is a heavy blow, let alone two.

He sighed and continued, "That's why I don't think the Mo Family has given up. They're simply weighing their options."

After all, those two are still alive. As long as they remain alive, there is still room for negotiation. There's no need for the Mo Family to dispatch an Immortal Gu House immediately."
