After exchanging vows, Aleena and I exchange rings.
The moment we slip the rings onto each other's fingers, Aleena rises onto her tiptoes, wraps her arms around my neck, pulls me closer, and presses her lips against mine.
We kiss for a long time until the boos and whistles from everyone finally snap us out of it.
"Ahem, we've seen that you and your wife love each other. You can save the rest for later," the priest says with a wave of his hand before walking off.
Soon after, loud cheers erupt from everyone as they clap and celebrate. I glance over at the crowd and spot Lasawani sitting alone while Max is off drinking with a few elves. I also notice that Aleena has spotted Lasawani, and a scowl appears on her face, but before she can do anything, some of her family members walk over and pull her away.
Phew... That was a close shave.
