Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Kaizen flux

The silence inside the Void Shell was the sound of bones grinding against stone. Five hundred times the standard weight of the world had turned the Coliseum floor into a shallow grave. Renji lay still, the starlight in his eyes extinguished, his breath coming in shallow, jagged gasps. Nyx was curled in a forced fetal position, her evo- energy flickering like a dying candle. Elias was the only one still fighting; his fingers dug into the pulverized rock, his cracked obsidian scales , began to leave he's body as he tried to lift his head against the mountain of invisible force.

"Is this... the end... ?" Elias wheezed, his vision blurring.

High above, the VIP spire was a cage of desperation. Zainab Virel, the 5th Division Captain, had her palms pressed against the barrier. Her eyes were red-rimmed, her usual composure shattered as she watched her subordinates Lying flat on the ground.

"We have to do something!" she screamed, her voice cracking. "Damn it" she hissed

"Wait," a calm, almost lazy voice cut through the panic. Kaizen Flux, the Captain of the 3rd Division, stepped forward. He wasn't shouting. He wasn't powering up. He was just looking at the black film with a tilted head, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. "I should be able to enter."

The other Captains froze. Zainab turned to him, her heart leaping. "Are you sure, Kaizen? "

"Yeah," Kaizen replied, a small, tired smile touching his lips. "I should. The probability of me being on the other side of this wall is low... but it's not zero. And for me, that's all the invitation I need."

He stepped toward the barrier. Zainab grabbed his arm, her face filled with raw emotion. They've been close friends since they were rookies, the thought of him going into that slaughterhouse alone was unbearable. "Promise me... promise me you would come back."

Kaizen looked at her, his eyes softening for a brief second. "I promise."

He reached out and touched the Void Shell. To the other Captains, it looked like he was being absorbed by shadows. His hand vanished, then his arm, then his entire torso. There was no explosion, no flash of light—just a man stepping through a door that didn't exist

Inside the void shell, Magals was descending. His boot was inches above Elias's skull, the 10th Commander's predatory smile widening. "Now, little snack. Become dust."

Suddenly, the 500x gravity didn't break—it just missed.

A ripple of distorted air shimmered in front of Elias. Kaizen Flux was standing there, his posture relaxed, his coat fluttering in a wind that shouldn't have been able to move under such pressure.

Magals froze. His pink eyes narrowed as he looked at the human who had just walked into his sanctuary. "How did you get in? My Law is absolute"

"It's none of your business," Kaizen replied. He didn't look at Magals; he looked down at Elias. "Rest easy, kid. You did more than enough. Let me handle it now"

Magals snarled, his regal robes flapping. "Gravity Anchor: 1,000x!"

The floor dropped another three feet, the sound of the earth collapsing echoing like thunder. But Kaizen Flux didn't even flinch. He walked forward, his footsteps light. To him, the probability of the gravity affecting his specific molecular structure had been reduced to an absolute zero. He was a ghost in the machine.

"My turn," Kaizen said.

He lunged towards magals and started attacking him.

The battle that followed was unlike anything the Coliseum had ever seen. While Renji and Nyx fought with speed and vision, Kaizen fought with Impossibility.

Magals fired an Energy Beam point-blank at Kaizen's chest. Statistically, at that range, a hit was 100% certain. But as the beam struck, it simply refracted. The energy bent around Kaizen's body as if it had hit a prism, blasting the ground behind him instead.

"What?" Magals roared. He swung his bladed tail, a sweep meant to decapitate the Captain.

Kaizen didn't duck. He didn't jump. He just kept walking. The tail, moving at supersonic speeds, but it was deflected upward, missing Kaizen's throat by a hair's breadth.

Kaizen reached Magals and delivered a simple, straight punch.

Magals smirked. "Reverse."

He's law was activated. The damage of the punch should have instantly manifested in Kaizen's own heart. But as the "Cause" met the "Effect," Kaizen manipulated the outcome. He shifted the 100% certainty of the reflection into the 0.0001% chance of a Causal Misfire.

CRACK.

Magals' head snapped back. His nose shattered, violet blood spraying across his golden mantle. Kaizen's heart remained beating, untouched.

"You... you bypassed the Law?" Magals hissed, his eyes turning a dark, bruised purple.

"Laws are just rules for people who can't win the game," Kaizen said.

He followed up with a brutal combination of hand-to-hand strikes. He wasn't as fast as Renji, but every strike he threw was a Critical Hit. He found the one-in-a-million gaps in Magals' Inviolability. He punched Magals in the throat, then delivered a knee to the ribs that sounded like a tectonic plate snapping.

Magals roared in frustration, unleashing a Space Breach barrage. Rifts opened all around Kaizen, fists emerging from every angle. Kaizen simply closed his eyes. He manipulated the probability of the punches connecting, weaving through the spatial rifts like a man walking through a gentle rain. He looked like he was dancing, his body swaying with a rhythm that defied logic.

Magals grabbed Kaizen's arm, his fingers digging into the Captain's flesh. "I have you! Poison Sting!"

The stinger on Magals' tail lunged forward, aiming for Kaizen's heart. It was a guaranteed kill. But as the stinger touched Kaizen's shirt, the tip snapped off. The probability of the Zethrian biological metal having a structural flaw at that exact moment had been forced to 100%.

The crowd and captain where stunned," yes he's winning" drakye void said, as he watched the fight

Kaizen grabbed Magals' face and slammed his forehead into the Commander's bridge.

The shockwave sent Magals stumbling back toward the center of the ring. The crowd, which had been frozen in terror, erupted into a roar of relief. The Captain of the 3rd was doing the unthinkable—he was dominating the zethrians commader.

Magals stood in the center of the crater, his tattered robes hanging off his shoulders. He wiped the violet blood from his chin, his breathing becoming heavy. He didn't look angry anymore. He look serious and regenerated all the damage he's taking.

" I have to end this,now " Kaizen whispered.

Then he picked up a plasma blades from the ground.

Magals looked at Kaizen, his pink eyes glowing with a terrifying new clarity. He began to laugh—a low, melodic sound that chilled the blood of everyone in the arena.

"I finally understand your ability," Magals said, his voice echoing with the power of the core. "You don't fight with strength. You fight with the 'Luck' of the universe. You are a glitch in the system, Kaizen Flux."
