The forest behind Haneul High School shook as the terrifying roar echoed again.
Three massive Beasts from the underworld slowly stepped out from the darkness.
Their bodies were twisted and unnatural.
Black smoke drifted from their skin like living shadows.
Their glowing red eyes stared hungrily at the four teenagers.
Lee Min-Joon gulped loudly.
"…Okay, now I think they have grade by grade for this beast's."
"…I officially hate this forest."
Kang Jae-Min stepped forward.
His golden wolf eyes shone brightly in the moonlight and his fang come out.
His voice was calm and steady.
"Stay focused we can do this."
Kim Ara's red eyes glowed like burning embers.
Her vampire instincts had fully awakened.
Behind them, Seo Yuna watched the creatures carefully.
Her violet eyes narrowed.
"These beasts are stronger than the one u have fight before.
Min-Joon raised his flaming hand showing his ready to face the beast.
"That's not good news."
One of the Beasts from the underworld suddenly charged forward.
The ground cracked under its weight.
"MOVE!" Jae-Min shouted to the rest of the team.
The group instantly scattered.
The beast slammed into the ground where they had been standing before.
The impact sent dirt and rocks flying everywhere.
Min-Joon barely rolled away in time.
"WHY ARE THEY SO FAST?!"
Jae-Min's body moved like lightning.
His claws extended and his muscles tightened.
He dashed forward and slashed the monster's arm.
SLASH!
Dark energy burst from the wound.
But the creature barely reacted cuz he doesn't feel any pain.
Instead, it swung its massive claw toward him.
Jae-Min jumped backward just in time to avoid the claw of the beast.
"…Tough that's was close."
Ara suddenly appeared behind the beast.
Her vampire speed was incredible.
She kicked the beast hard in the back.
BOOM!
The creature stumbled forward.
Min-Joon grinned.
"Now it my turn!"
He thrust his both hands forward.
"Flame Burst!"
A blast of fire exploded from his palms.
WHOOSH!
The fire struck the beast directly at his chest.
The creature roared in pain as the fire burned its shadowy skin.
Min-Joon pumped his fist.
"Yes! that's was amazing."
But his celebration lasted only for two seconds.
Another Beast suddenly appeared behind him.
Its massive claws raised.
"Min-Joon watch out! Ara shouted.
Min-Joon turned.
"Oh no, I'm Dead already."
Then SEO Yuna Interferes
Before the creature could strike Min-joon
A bright purple light flashed through the forest.
"Arcane Bind!"
Chains of glowing magic wrapped around the beast's body.
Then the beast froze in a place.
Seo Yuna lowered her hand calmly.
Min-Joon blinked.
Then he stared at her in awe.
"…She saved me, wow she just saved me."
His eyes sparkled.
Ara sighed.
"He's hopeless. I swear."
Yuna looked slightly annoyed.
"Don't misunderstand me."
"I'm not helping you."
Min-Joon smiled.
"Still counts though."
Jae-Min shouted from across the clearing.
"Focus guys we are not done yet."
The third Beast roared and lunged at him.
This one was even bigger than the rest.
Jae-Min dodged the first strike but the second claw grazed his arm.
SLASH!
Blood appeared instantly on his arm.
Ara's eyes widened.
"Jae-Min! she shouted."
The moment she saw his blood…
Something inside Ara changed.
Her red eyes glowed brighter than ever.
Her fangs extended slightly.
The air around her became colder.
She disappeared.
Then reappeared in front of the beast.
Her fist slammed into its chest.
BOOM!
The creature flew backward and crashed into a tree.
Even Jae-Min looked surprised.
Min-Joon whispered,
"…Remind me never to make her angry, cuz I'm not ready to died anytime soon."
Yuna watched Ara carefully.
"…Interesting."
Two beasts were still standing.
Min-Joon clenched his fists together.
His fire power burned brighter than before.
"Okay… I got this."
"Time to show off what I can do."
He jumped onto a rock and raised both hands.
Flames swirled around him like a storm.
"Inferno Wave!"
A massive wall of fire shot forward.
The flames spread across the battlefield and slammed into the Beast.
The creature roar as the fire burned through its dark body.
Jae-Min saw the opening.
He dashed forward with All his strength.
With one powerful leap, he slashed the beast across its chest.
SLASH!
The beast collapsed and dissolved into black smoke.
Min-Joon grinned proudly.
"Did you see that? don't take me has a joke."
Yuna looked unimpressed.
"U are just lucky."
Min-Joon pointed at her dramatically.
"just tell me u're jealous."
Then jae-min face him
"Can u just focus for once!"
Then they all face the biggest Beast who still remained.
And it was angry.
The creature let out a horrifying roar.
Dark energy exploded from its body.
The ground cracked around it.
Yuna's expression became serious.
"…This one is stronger than the rest we have to be well prepared."
Jae-Min wiped blood from his arm.
"Then we end it together no matter how strong he his, he can't defeat us."
Ara nodded.
Min-Joon raised his flames again.
Yuna hesitated.
For a moment…
She looked at the three of them fighting side by side.
Then she sighed.
"…Fine, let do this together."
She raised her hand.
A magic circle appeared beneath her feet.
Purple symbols glowed brightly.
"Don't slow me down," she said coldly.
Min-Joon smiled like an idiot.
"Teamwork!"
Yuna rolled her eyes
"Temporary"
Final Attack
The monster charged.
Jae-Min ran straight toward the beast.
Ara moved like a shadow.
Min-Joon's flames grew larger.
Yuna's magic circle expanded across the ground.
"NOW!" Jae-Min shouted.
Ara jumped high into the air and kicked the beast head.
Min-joon fired a massive blast of flame from his hand .
Yuna's spell activated.
"Gravity Seal!"
The beast suddenly collapsed under invisible pressure.
Jae-Min leaped forward and slashed the beast with all his strength.
SLASH!!
The Beast roar one final time.
Then its body shattered into black mist.
Silence returned to the forest.
The battle was over.
After the battle
The four of them stood there breathing heavily.
Min-Joon looked around.
"…We survived we did it.Yes!"
Ara nodded slowly.
"Yes we did it."
Yuna stepped back.
"Well done."
Jae-Min crossed his arms.
"why did you help us?."
"Only because those creatures were annoying me."
Min-Joon walked toward her.
"So… since we fought together…"
"Does that mean we're friends now?"
Yuna stared at him.
"No.we are not."
Min-Joon sighed dramatically.
"My heart… that harsh."
Jae-Min chuckled slightly.
Ara shook her head.
"You're unbelievable.Min-joon."
Yuna turned and began walking deeper into the forest.
Min-Joon panicked.
"Wait a minute."
She stopped but didn't turn around.
"What is it ?"
Min-Joon scratched his head awkwardly.
"…Will we see you again right?"
For a moment she didn't answer.
Then she spoke quietly.
"…Probably."
And with that…
She disappeared into the shadows.
Min-Joon stared into the forest for like some minutes before talking.
"I'm definitely marrying that girl."
Ara slapped his head.
"Will u focus".
Jae-Min looked at the broken summoning seal on the tree.
His expression turned serious again.
"…This isn't over.its just the beginning...."
The seal was still glowing faintly.
Which meant only one thing.
Someone else…
Was still controlling the underworld creatures.
And somewhere in Seoul that person is there.
which means much bigger danger was waiting.
Then Ara said
"But for what purpose"....
