The night was young as it portrayed a starry spectacle that dazzled and memorized anyone who had dare gaze upon it. Nestled in-between two trees in the middle of a small forest layed a small wooden shack. Lantern-lit and warm,a rather inviting sight to any traveler or drifter who might have been passing by. Inside the shack stood a young elf in a white but stained apron and brown tattered pants.He wore no apron despite the chill of the night showing his broad hairy chest.An unmissable feature of his were his scar filled arms showing a history of past battles and hardships he had encountered. He had stringy orange hair that he normally bundled into a bun at the back of his head to prevent it from getting in the way of his day to day activities.His face was freshly trimmed but his his facial structure made him look older than his actual age and his dark complection didn't help either.
He was polishing a glass over a wooden but polished bar-like counter with wooden coasters seats lined along it for customers to sit and order.
Behind installed on the wall was a wooden shelf holding bottle of beer stacked neatly in a row.
Four medium sized tables were placed all across the room each surrounded by three stools.The elf was polishing a glass that had gathered dust over the ages.As he turned to place the glass on the shelf the door creaked open. Freezing and slowly turning around carefully as if not to trigger a crossbow aimmed at his head. Sitting right by the wooden counter on one of the coasters seats was a child no older than four years of age with hair dropping on every side of his face as if trying to engulf his face in a dark . IT had big bulging black eyes and a dark lining covering the base of his lower eyelids. The child stretched and yawned making clicking noises revealing the shackles binding his arms,legs and neck that were partially covered by the torn gray robe he wore. The air began to feel a lot heavier and thicker as time went on as of the shack couldn't quite contain what had just entered the it. Some of the bottles on the shelves started developing cracks as if and invisible force was weighing them down.
"To think I'd would find in, this?" The child said distastefully."To what do I owe the displeasure of this sudden visit, Cassian" the elf asked in a calm manner but his stance gave the impression that he could vault the counter and smash through the window to escape the situation."Ah...., you know me." Cassian said sounding quite proud of his notorious reputation."Of course You do....,I mean wreak of Ichor"Cassian said studying the elf." I mean I was there there when the very words that birthed you were uttered."the elf muttered in a bitter tone and readjusting then reaching for spell book buckled to his pants. The energy in the room shifted immediately. A sense of impending doom filed the elf's conscious."THAT SHAN'T SAVE YOU."
Cassian rasped angrily disgusted at the fact that a simple spell book had been used to threaten him."we both know that the reason for my coming here wasn't to harm anybody." He said in a whispery tone causing his eyes to go sketch gray."Otherwise,I WOULD HAVE PROBABLY SKIPPED THE PLEASANTRIES" Cassian rasped causing reality to distort and the small shack to fade away and everything to go pitch black. "I'm here to make a deal"he said appears seated on a throne of bones and skulls smirking at the elf who still looked disoriented at his new surroundings."And why would I do something so foolish like that." The elf cursed and frantically searched for his now vanished spell book. A figure of a young elf girl appeared crying and running towards the elf but a void tendril grabbed her pulling her back into the null Cassian grinned evily at the elf dissolving into the void. Frozen and wide eyes the elf stared into the void and began to tear up. Eventually starting to running into the void faster and faster while screaming "Evelyn" but not response came.
