The next morning, the entire court gathered eagerly. Of course, there was no tree—only the same pot of soil.
The king looked at Gopal and asked seriously,
"Where is the tree and the mango?"
Gopal calmly replied,
"Your Majesty, the magical tree only grows in the presence of honest and truthful people. If even one dishonest person is present, it refuses to grow."
The court fell silent.
Gopal continued,
"I believe someone here must not be telling the truth about the magical mango tree."
Hearing this, the jealous courtiers became nervous. They realized that if they insisted the tree was real, they would be exposed as liars.
Finally, one of them stepped forward and admitted,
"Your Majesty, we made up the story. We wanted to test Gopal and prove him wrong."
