It had to be said—Spandine worked with impressive efficiency.
Valthior had only just assigned him the task, and within a few days, changes were already stirring in the North Blue.
Because of the Donquixote Family's influence, the nobles of the Lvneel Kingdom treated Homing's family with extreme respect, granting them whatever they desired.
As a result, ever since descending to the lower world, Doflamingo felt that life here was even more entertaining than in Mary Geoise.
In this country, he still lived above everyone else. Coupled with the change in environment, the sense of novelty made everything feel fresh and exciting.
Early that morning, as usual, Doflamingo went out to wander the streets.
Passing by a luxury shop owned by a noble, his attention was immediately drawn to the items inside. With his usual arrogant swagger, he stepped in.
"I don't want this, this, or that. Pack everything else up and send it to my house," Doflamingo casually ordered.
After speaking, he turned and walked toward the exit. Clearly, this wasn't his first time doing something like this.
But this time, before he could leave, the shop owner hurriedly spoke up.
"You haven't paid yet…"
"Hm?" Doflamingo frowned and turned back. "Pay? Do you know who I am?"
"No matter who you are, purchases here must be paid for," the shop owner replied, a bit nervous—but remembering the instructions he had received yesterday, he forced himself to stand firm.
"I think you've got a death wish! You filthy commoner…" Doflamingo sneered as he pulled out his small pistol.
But before he could even act, two burly men at the entrance rushed in. One snatched the pistol from his hand, while the other kicked him hard in the back, sending him sprawling to the ground.
???
Rolling on the floor a couple of times, his back throbbing with pain, Doflamingo was completely stunned.
This isn't right. Someone hit me? Someone actually dared to hit me!?
As a natural-born tyrant, there was no way Doflamingo would accept this. He scrambled to his feet and roared, "I'll kill all you lowly trash! I'll slaughter everyone on this street—!"
Cursing wildly, he lunged at the two men.
The two, clearly well-trained, immediately fought back.
After a brutal beating, Doflamingo was thrown out of the shop, his face bruised and swollen. Tears streamed down his face as he stumbled home, still trying to sound tough.
"Waaah… you filthy commoners dared to hit me… even my cousin never hit me like this… I'll kill you all… waaah…"
Back then, his "uncle" Valthior had only had someone slap him a couple of times. And now these lowly commoners dared to beat him senseless!?
Outrageous!
Watching Doflamingo's tearful retreat, the two burly men dropped their fierce expressions and exchanged uneasy glances.
"We're not going to get retaliated against, are we?"
"If we disobey orders, that man will wipe out our entire families immediately. We didn't have a choice."
"…Let's just hope Commander Spandine keeps his promise and transfers us somewhere else."
...
Meanwhile, Doflamingo returned home crying—but before he could even step inside, he heard a commotion.
"Your son has racked up over two billion Berries at our shops these past days! Pay up now, or we'll take everything valuable in this house—including the property!"
"Still think you're some noble from Mary Geoise? We've heard—you've been stripped of your status!"
"Why waste time talking? Boys, move it! Take everything and throw them out!"
Hearing this, Doflamingo wiped his tears and stormed inside, shouting, "You lowly trash dare to humiliate us like this—!"
But before he could finish, the sound of another vicious beating echoed through the house.
About half an hour later, an even more battered and bruised Doflamingo, along with Homing, his wife, and the much younger Rosinante, were all thrown out into the street.
The four of them stood there, watching as a group of thugs carried off everything from their home—and then set the house ablaze.
For a moment, they didn't know what to do.
"Father… how dare they!?" Doflamingo asked blankly, pinching his bleeding nose.
Homing was just as stunned. Everything had been fine just days ago—how had it suddenly turned into this?
"Don't worry, Doffy. I'll go ask my friend, Count Visla, what's going on…" Homing steadied himself and tried to reassure his family.
But when he went to the count's estate, he couldn't even get through the gates before being driven away.
"I don't understand!"
Standing outside the estate with his family, Homing said in confusion, "Just a few days ago, he told me to come to him anytime if I needed help. He even said we were the best of friends. So why won't he even let me in now?"
Unwilling to give up, Homing sought out other "friends."
Without exception, not a single one would see him.
As former Celestial Dragons, they had never needed to worry about food or clothing in Mary Geoise. They had no real-life skills.
Even after descending, their lives had still been comfortable. On the surface, they lived like commoners—but in reality, it was no different from Homing playing "commoner games" back in Mary Geoise. It was all superficial.
Now that they had to truly face the harshness of life, the entire family was dumbfounded.
In a mere three to five days, they lost everything. Starving, they were driven into the slums, forced to live among the kingdom's "failures," enduring the stench of sewers and the company of rats and cockroaches.
When hunger became unbearable, they had to rummage through trash—or even beg on the streets.
This drastic fall—from the very top to the very bottom—was something the family simply couldn't adapt to.
If they could at least live as ordinary civilians, things might still have some semblance of "civilization." But as homeless drifters, life became brutally primitive.
Spandine didn't even need to arrange anything further. The lowest dregs of society didn't care about Doflamingo's former noble status. They beat them mercilessly, stole the little food they scavenged from garbage, and even took pleasure in abusing them.
Only now did Homing perhaps realize how laughable his fantasy of commoner life had been.
...
On a dark street, cold rain pounded against Doflamingo's frail figure. He huddled under the eaves, trying to avoid getting soaked. On his childish face lingered a shadow of deep hatred.
Nerona... it's all your fault... I'll definitely kill you all!!!"
Recalling the root of everything, Doflamingo swore in fury.
In his eyes, it was all the Nerona family's fault. If that bastard hadn't provoked him, he wouldn't have struck first.
If they hadn't kept pushing, his family wouldn't have been cast down.
If he had never descended, he would still be the noble Saint Doflamingo—not a stray dog trembling in the rain.

Meanwhile, in the New World…
The Oro Jackson had already reached the outer waters of Totto Land.
Unlike its peak in the original story—when the entire sea was monitored by Sea Slugs, exposing any intruder immediately—Totto Land had not yet developed to that extent.
Carrying Valthior, Roger, and the others, the Oro Jackson slipped silently into Big Mom Pirates territory, heading straight toward Whole Cake Island.
And they weren't the only ones.
From another direction, the Holy Knights and Harald were also about to step onto this stage.
But at this moment, Charlotte Linlin remained completely unaware of the grand storm about to unfold.
