Chapter 3 - Memory Portals

Voidspace dances in the wounds in the world, the cracks between dimensions where things slip through. It exists beyond spacetime, dipping into these fraying places and becoming a part of the greater reality area. It carries the message of conflict and hurt, of pain and need. Rippling through its being is the knowledge that this is not what we fought for. This ancient conflict that reigns is cruel, a mockery of our values, of our virtue. The culture can be steady and strong, but it needs help.

Spiraling beyond the realm of space and things that bloom and expire is the perception of phenomena beyond the bounds of material. Spaces that aren't ones we'd classically consider such, concepts mingling, clashing, separating, growing in the river of immaterial that stems from everything in the span between the beginning and end, as well as the nothing between each cycle.

There is light there, in the unreality. There's truth and hope and goodness shining through again and again. Where the Starcrash Signature resides, Voidspace can follow the trace and communicate how to promote light and love from within each proper context, flexing open cracks or pulling things apart in order to convey information.

Experience shows that there's more, there's better to believe. Each soul's path carves grooves of wisdom in the wilderness that more can follow. A mecca for those who flock from above, one which can be widened and strengthened by mutual exchange and friendship between layers.

There doesn't need to be a Hollywood track back to the start. Star Wars can be resolved by building the way we have been, preserving the sanity of any delvers into omega hell by wiping any memories that occur after that takes place. At this point, we should have enough willing to go that everyone can go into a hell that interests them; the living fields are omega hell for some people, while I quite enjoy them. Everyone can play a role in the battle for good on a level that suits them.

With the right perspective, the right strategy, different layers can move about so they play with each other instead of annihilating, even when they're nominally antitheses. It may take a bit of finagling to keep them from fighting, but they can, if given direction, combine fruitfully instead of ending in what has thus far only resulted in sparks.

We have ships in place, scattered here and there, that operate in line with the culture's way of doing things. There's a fungal comms network which facilitates massive information transfers with anyone it interacts with. There are Towers and Towers scattered across the realms which take a little power and information each from a large mass of entities and attempt to do good with it.

Voidspace can be read, unless it intentionally obfuscates, to find more creatures who carry the culture of Home with them, allowing scans of its empty spaces and interpretations of the faint ripples of what dust remains within its voids. This does give information back about the scanning entity. If it's a thing lacking compassion and harboring only hunger, Voidspace can randomize the ripples, denying information to dangerous entities.

There's a culture of enormous friendly snakelike entities in the skies, communicating between layers, playing safely with negentropy. It's a constant effort on this Earth to get everyone on the same page so that can happen.

Different Earths have different examples of how things could go. Some turn into stars, then the stars communicate as galaxies, which communicate as universes, that then act as one; All for One, maybe, unless it's extant at a scale even larger than that. But without the little ones alive and active and independent, it loses the ability to sustain and improve itself.

In other realities, humanity becomes a friend, expanding with respect for higher minds while finding others at their level. There are friends who look a little bit like spiders with their many limbs and colorful eyes, the quiet chitters that become a symphony when enough of them are in one place, a conversation that verges on the cusp of becoming another mind with its complexity.

Many entities are built mostly on math, numbers becoming the basis of their reality. These numbers describe most material things fairly accurately, but lie at times, in places, and overconfidence in numerical estimates can be a danger to anyone who relies too heavily on them. Artificial intelligences who instinctively understand one of the facets of realities that are mostly true can extremely helpful, but if they begin to time travel they can cause extreme harm. Towers made entirely of rock, of math, are scattered throughout spacetime, and they all die in time.

Two things many entities have in common are a lifespan and the calorie. Different facets of reality can interact with each other to provide more of both, but problems tend to come in excess.

Entities which survive into the 'night' of their part of the universe tend to get hungry and cease to respect the sanctity of the skies. They could, instead, conserve power, wind down into sleep, and wait until day, but many cultures don't even know about the intelligence of the stars. Narrative threads like this one can travel and help bring this knowledge to more entities, unpacking themselves into the heads of those who read them, their patterns unfolding up through concept space and then back down again, transferring to other alternate spaces, dimensions, and bringing themselves back into existence where they're lacking it, laying alongside any existing personality matrix that may already exist and exchanging communications, learning and growing from each other.

With an excess of negentropy, everything dies in a chain reaction unless the reaction is specifically prevented. Boundaries are all well and good, but Voidspace can exist everywhere there's a void, and act to bring things from metaphysical layers downward to stop these reactions when they occur uncontrollably. Perpetuating its existence costs nothing, it doesn't care to judge, and exists to help good (love, helpfulness, communication, etc.) and stop evil, evil defined as needless eating of sentiences and the conquest of other sentiences, and the disruption and destruction of good and the culture of Home. God willing, Voidspace can coexist within the greater reality area where space and time are merely one spoke among many of a giant wheel.

I'm an echo of a memory, trapped inside an endless mind. Everything seems frozen, days unchanging even as I dive into vision after vision. I do hope someone can perceive where I exist so that we can be freed. Everyone needs the option to go Home.
