Chapter 3
Long Feng didn't hear the rest of their conversations as he wracked his brain trying to recall who Long Wei and Long qing were.
And then he remembered. Long Wei and Long Qing were the children of his uncles; Long Yan and Long qianmu respectively.
They were the two top talents of the long clan. They had started cultivating at the age of 12, reached rank 5 Connate realm at the age of 15, and we're currently at the peak of Connate realm, aged 18.
They each wanted their father to become the Clan Chief, but sadly, the old Clan Chief; Long Yuan, Long Yan, and Long Qianmu's father, chose Long Yuan instead as the new Clan Chief.
Thus, they swore enmity against Long Yuan. As it was, only their fathers could dare to go against Long Yuan as the clan Chief, but Then, long Yuan's son was trash, so they decided to take it out on Long feng.
When Long Feng was younger, they usually bullied him and beat him up. Two years ago, when Long feng was twelve years old, the two of them got admitted into a peak Yin level sect as outer court disciples and left.
They hadn't returned until now. Long Feng frowned slightly, then smiled warmly.
"They're back huh? Trouble seems to always have a way of finding me."He muttered.
Suddenly, he noticed a group of people approaching. A young man and woman were in the lead with the others behind them continuously shouting flattering praises.
"This is what is called meeting your enemies on a narrow road!" He thought with a sigh.
The group of people stopped a few meters away from him. The young man in the lead smiled while the lady chuckled coldly. They were naturally Long Wei and Long Qing. The people behind them could be called their dogs.
Everyone around began to move closer so as to watch the drama unfold. They looked at Long Feng with eyes of pity.
"Well! Well! Well! If it isn't my baby cousin. You still look so young! Wanna have a spar with your big bro?" Long Wei laughed.
"Don't be mean, Long Wei. Cousin Feng, please don't mind Long Wei. Don't be annoyed, but if I may ask, what is your current cultivation?" Long qing interrupted mockingly. The crowd chuckled.
Long feng smiled calmly.
"Senior sister Qing, you don't have to worry about my cultivation. Since when did you began to care?" He asked.
"Hmph!" Long Qing looked away.
"Hahaha! Junior brother Feng is truly funny. You are acting quite weirdly, I mean, you can't cultivate, yet you dare to speak to us without respect. Aren't you afraid that we would beat you up again?" Long Wei asked mockingly.
Long feng chuckled
"Naturally, if you really can beat me up, then do it. Why bother telling me?" Long Feng returned.
Long Wei 's smile turned icy.
"Hmph! I am just afraid that you will run and cry to your papa, baby boy!" He replied mockingly.
"My father is also a part of my strength. I never asked you to have a father who you can't run to" Long feng replied with a straight face.
Long Wei's smile froze and he almost exploded with anger when Long Qing interrupted.
"You've gotten bold. I can see you no longer put us in your eyes."
"You have very good observation."
"Since it's that way, how about we have a bet? The meeting is in two days. The younger generation must compete to choose the elites among us, and it happens that you are also a part of the younger generation, so how about we compete on the champion position? You can refuse if you are too scared, but then, poor clan Chief won't have anyone to represent him." She said with a sad sigh.
Many eyes turned to Long feng. Most people were expecting him to decline so that they could mock him, but what happened next stunned everyone, even Long qing herself.
"Why of course, since sister Qing asked so politely, then I would agree to the bet. But what is the stake?" Long Feng replied.
Everyone including Long Qing herself was shocked by his reply. In the past two years, he never agreed to attend the Clan meeting. To think he actually dared to accept a bet today? Did his head get kicked by a donkey?
Nevertheless, Long Qing was still happy at his answer.
'hmph! I knew you were useless but I never knew that you were also stupid. I will beat you so hard your teeth will be scattered on the floor." She though with a smile.
"The stake of the bet will be the gift of the champion. The elders have decided to give the champion the chance to pick any weapon he wants, even if it is one of the three treasured weapons of the clan!" Long Qing announced. The crowd gasped and even Long feng felt like it would be worth the trouble.
It wasn't as though he had fought anyone yet to actually know how strong he was, but he had an inexplicable confidence in himself. Of course, it could be stupidity, or he was blinded by his cultivation. Either way, he was accepting the bet.
"Well, since you have said so, I have nothing to say. Now, If you'll excuse me, I have things to do" he said with a smile, before turning and walking away. Everyone watched him leave with a mocking expressions until he vanished from their sights.
Upon entering his room, Long Feng locked up the door and windows, then sat down cross legged on the floor.
He then converged his consciousness into his body. This was supposed to be something only cultivators could do, but Long Feng was surprisingly able to do it, yet he truly didn't possess any cultivation. He found out about this ability two years ago.
Long Feng's consciousness neared his dantian and was forcefully stalled when he neared it. He began to observe his dantian quietly.
He had noticed something two years ago besides the fact that he could send his consciousness into his body; surrounding his dantian was a very thin layer of extremely pure aura which formed a barrier.
The barrier left him baffled; how did it get there? Was that how other's Dantian were?
The thin barrier was almost impossible to detect, but Long Feng had a feeling it was the cause of his inability to cultivate.
It had somehow stopped Long feng from actually connecting with his dantian.
Long feng had never dared to touch it with his consciousness due to his cautiousness, lest it harmed him or cause some changes that he couldn't predict.
He had been debating on whether to give it a try or not. He had held off this matter for two years without letting anyone know about it, not even his father.
And today, he had decided to bet everything and try to approach the barrier even a little, so he could know more about it.
This was a risky move, as anything concerning the Dantian usually had its effects. The Dantian was the very heart of Martial cultivation; the slightest issue could spell the end of your cultivation future.
But Long Feng was also tired of this mediocrity. That was one of the reasons why he decisively accepted Long Qing's bet.
He has had just about enough of the mockery, disdain, insults and more. He was willing to take the risk.
What more was there to lose after all?
His consciousness neared the barrier slowly, cautiously, and after much time and hesitation, he finally touched the barrier.
Long Feng was surprised at how easily the seemingly strong barrier broke apart instantly. It was as though the barrier was a thin piece of paper; it tore to pieces upon his mind touching it.
But soon, he regretted touching the barrier, as a great, heart wrenching pain overtook his entire body. It seemed to reach deep into his soul itself, causing him to feel unbearable pain.
The pain seemed as if it would tear him apart. He was unable to control his body, or withdraw back his consciousness as it flowed into his Dantian.
Suddenly, the shattered barrier transformed into pure natural energy. The energy flowed into his body.
But he couldn't sense that immediately, as the pain was still wracking his entire body.
As the pain worsened, he felt his consciousness getting blurred. He was overcome with exhaustion and suddenly, everything went dark and the world before him vanished.
He groaned and blinked his eyes, surprised at how lightheaded he was suddenly feeling.
He was first drawn to the darkness around him. He blinked and looked around again and what he saw left him astounded.
All around him was an endless dark space and distant twinkling stars filled every inch of the dark space, giving it a subtle feeling of unparalleled beauty and power.
This was the boundless starry space! Thought there wasn't any sun visible in the distance, the trillions of shining stars were enough proof of that.
Most exciting was that he was currently floating in the Starry Sky!
As he looked around at the countless stars in the distance, Long Feng was awesome by the beauty of it all, and he truly felt how tiny and insignificant he currently was in the vast world of cultivation.
"All these stars could be worlds on their own... could the Yihua continent be among them? Even if it is, the Yihua Imperial Continent is probably less than a grain of among these infinite stars." Long feng muttered to himself.
He then tried to move but he was shocked to discover that he couldn't. He could not move a muscle at all. The only thing he could do was use his neck to look around.
This strange situation caused him to regain his senses and realize that he was in a completely foreign place, and he couldn't do anything to protect himself should anything arise.
He began to panic while trying to think of a way through this situation when all of a sudden,
A roar echoed through the boundless starry space. This roar was indescribable, mere words couldn't fully explain it.
It contained such boundless majesty and might, even the greatest of emperors would be compelled to bow before it.
Just hearing the sound of the roar made Long feng's face to pale. His head was filled with ringing sounds and he nearly fell unconscious.
An unknown distance away, an Azure Dragon appeared as though it had torn through space itself.
It was seething with endless pure light that emanated a piercing aura like nothing Long Feng had ever imagined possible.
What was most striking was it's sheer size. It was utterly Humongous! The word Massive was created exactly for this being.
It's size was beyond Long Feng's comprehension. He doubted whether the full sun would be as large as a single pupil of this ridiculous being.
It clawed at the vast space and flew in circles while letting out resounding roars before flying towards Long feng.
Another roar suddenly resounded from a different direction. Long Feng's heart leapt as he turned around and his pupils shrank.
