Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

"It seems you're awake now."

A new person stood where the man who had brought Eren here once was.

Seeing the man dressed in white, wearing ancient-style clothing like something out of a period drama, Eren was briefly surprised. Still, his mind began working quickly.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice steady, without a trace of nervousness.

"I'm a teacher here," the man replied. "Your head teacher, to be exact."

A short pause.

"Now that's established, follow me. I'll show you around the school—and your dorm."

Without waiting for a response, he turned and opened the door, pausing only briefly as if expecting Eren to keep up.

Eren quickly got to his feet and followed.

They returned to the grand hall.

This time, it felt different.

There were people.

Some wore what looked like school uniforms—but on closer inspection, the details were not the same. Their cufflinks differed, and the badges on their chests each carried a unique symbol.

As they walked, a few students gave slight nods. Others showed clear signs of respect—even reverence—toward the man in white.

After a while, they stopped in front of a door.

"Go in," the man said. "They'll give you everything you need—your uniform, dorm key, and a communication device."

He paused, then added,

"Once you get it, bring it to me. I'll add my contact information. Call me when you're done, and I'll continue guiding you."

Eren nodded and stepped inside.

----------

Entering the room, Eren immediately noticed how spacious it was.

His gaze swept across the area—and paused.

There were… all kinds of people.

Some had animal ears, others antlers. A few didn't look human at all. One looked like a massive floating rock, its surface faintly glowing with flames. Others were fully animal-like, yet stood upright like humans.

For a brief moment, he stared.

Then he looked away.

Staring too long would be rude.

Finding an empty desk, he walked over and took a seat. From what he could tell, the others here seemed to be students as well—each one claiming their school supplies.

The layout was identical for every desk.

In front of him sat a receptionist.

She had long green hair and mature features, dressed in white robes adorned with gold patterns. She looked human—but something about her felt… slightly off.

The moment he sat down, she spoke.

"Welcome to the admission office. Your name, please."

Her voice sounded perfectly normal.

Almost too normal.

"Eren Vale," he replied.

Without hesitation, she placed several items on the table.

"Here is your dorm key and your student device. Your uniform will be sent directly to your dorm."

She paused briefly before continuing,

"You may also leave your suitcase here. It will be delivered alongside your uniform."

After handing his suitcase to the receptionist, it disappeared instantly.

Eren didn't react much.

At this point, things like this were starting to feel… normal.

He slipped the card-like dorm key into his pocket, then picked up the student device. It resembled a bracelet.

The moment he put it on, it tightened slightly—adjusting perfectly to his wrist.

Then—

A faint prick.

Eren's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…It injected something?"

"Let me explain," the receptionist said calmly.

"This device was created by the Technology Department. It connects each student to the school's main system—handling class schedules, communication, marketplace access, and more."

She paused briefly.

"You may think of it as something similar to a 'phone' from your world—though far more advanced."

Eren glanced at the bracelet again, saying nothing.

"It has already registered your biological signature," she continued. "Your head teacher will send you an invitation shortly."

Almost as if on cue—

A translucent panel appeared in front of Eren's eyes.

He paused.

Floating text formed clearly before him.

[Incoming Invitation]

Sender: Li Shen

He accepted the invitation.

A chat panel appeared instantly, displaying a short message telling him to finish up and exit the admission office—they needed to move quickly.

Eren replied.

[Understood]

So his name is Li Shen…

Is he from Earth? Or do other worlds also have similar cultures?

After thanking the receptionist, Eren quickly made his way out.

Not long after he left, the receptionist's expression changed.

For the first time, it looked… human.

"So it's that blockhead student," she muttered quietly, a faint smile forming on her lips.

As Eren stepped outside, he saw Li Shen leaning against the wall, waiting.

"It seems you're finished," Li Shen said.

"Let me take you to your dorm."

Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked ahead.
