Chapter 51 - An Unexpected Out-come

Chapter 5: An Unexpected Out-come

The wise man does at once what the fool does finally.

— Niccolò Machiavelli

The Floating Kingdom of Vacia – Sahariel

"How did you get here?" His question resounded through the walls of the inner chambers of the court of Vaciem. The guards turned, raising their blades.

Adrian smiled, the air becoming increasingly heavy Ignis, Zethar, Chris and Tobey following closely behind him.

"You forget I have encountered your sons." His eyes searched through the 25 sons of Anael.

"That was an interesting past," He turned back to Anael. "But that was just it, the past."

"What do you want?" Anael asked, not a hint of expression on his face.

Adrian sighed, he knew Anael, just like Ravon was a different calibre of man, and wouldn't bend so easily.

"I want an alliance." Adrian said, then the room paused.

Leron squinted his eyes, sliding his excel out of his pocket.

"What is my benefit in that?" Still not a hint of concern or worry on his face, he asked.

"We share a common enemy." Adrian said, playing with a cocktail of energies in his palm: life, faith, mana and a bit of divine energy.

"That makes it natural for an alliance?" Anael rose, the room froze, Lue, Leron, Uriel, Raphael, every single Vaciem and Vacian in the room, paused. "We have survived just fine without your assistance."

"I'm not saying I'm your saviour. I'm no Messiah. Besides, if I were to fight your nation, we know that obviously with raw power, you outmatch us." Adrian spoke with a calm face, taking his hand back.

"It's the other way round then." Anael said, his voice high enough for only Adrian to hear.

"I take out The Crimson Peak and the other world forces for you, and you cover my back when it's all over." Adrian said, still calm and looking forward.

"That's an interesting little suggestion." Anael smiled for the first time.

"Today The Community of Vacia and Adrian the Blasphemer enter an alliance. To seal it, we shall swear by the heart." Anael turned to face the court.

"In the end, you still joined us." Lue muttered to herself, watching as the ritual of oaths took place.

And she knew it, this was an important day in the history of Gyndal, possiby the start of its fall.

Summerville, Neo Westeria, Nyoria.

It had been four months since she moved to Summerville.

Westeria had shruck considerably in the last months after the Acursed Anulian floods, seperating the former empire into two, Imperial and Neo Westeria.

It was disastrous for the thornes, but with the interventions of The Vacians, they made it out alive.

Her green eyes flickered as she remembered the abominable beasts attacking.

_Ping_

She received a message.

[Leron]: Adrian Wilbert has returned.

She blinked twice, rereading the message.

'Finally, I can show him that his methods aren't the only ones that work.' She thought: She was now the Duly Elected Administrator of one of the most powerful nations on Nyoria. The Thorne name was now third to only The Theocracy and Westerian Imperial family

[Eloise]: What does he want?

[Leron]: An alliance with our community.

She paused, her hands a bit shaky, she hadn't anticipated that Adrian of all people would seek an alliance with a company Leron belonged to

[Eloise]: He got it?

[Leron]: Honestly, I'm not okay with it, however all the other racial representatives are okay with my father's decision they see it as a way to take out the Peak and all other powers that go out of their way to prevent peace. He's just too unstable, psychopathic even.

Even just with a text, Eloise could tell how opposed he was to the alliance. Then –

She smiled, realization soon kicking into her.

[Eloise]: Are you jealous? Oww, that's cute.

[Leron]: You get to see him at the Conference in Sahariel.

[Eloise]: By the way.

[Leron]: Did he call you birdie again.

A pause, there was no reply.

[Eloise]: Come on, I was just joking.

[Leron]: He is a few steps away from the King rank… but it seems as though he is constantly having minor breakthroughs.

"Hm." She nodded, remembering something she learnt in the past.

"His power is adaptation." The man on the other side of the room said. "I noticed something about it, after those fights in which He is totally exhausted or beaten, he comes back stronger."

"Thank you Dean Asgar." Eloise and Sue bowed slightly.

_ _ _

[Leron]: You are already king rank though, you needn't be worried.

[Eloise]: He saw divinity attack twice, with enough time, he'll catch up.
