A/N: So I've decided to change the timeline a little bit. All for one is not five anymore, and has killed the luminescent baby already. He is around 12-13. He looked quite young during the flashback, but his age was never confirmed. Other than that, nothing has changed.
----
Neko was a young girl born with a heteromorphic quirk called whiskers. It granted her three whisker markings on her cheeks that are highly sensitive and let her detect vibrations in the air. She was of average height with messy light brown hair that she tied up in a messy ponytail.
Her school uniform was covered in the blood of her friend Kani, who was also a school girl that was born with a heteromorphic quirk called half crab. Her entire upper body was that of a crab, with small claws and a bright-red carapace.
She had two nostrils, a large mouth, and two eyestalks that protruded from the sides of her head, ending in large, elliptical eyes with small pupils. On their way back from the library after a long study session, they were chased by a mob of protesters and ended up cornered in an industrial zone.
Kani had tried to fight back with her small claws, defending Neko, but she was outnumbered, and they gang up on her, hitting her with multiple strikes with metal spike bats, injuring Kani.
The leader slowly stepped forward from the rest of the mob. His appearance was hidden by a cloth mask and a red colored construction hat, yet what remained that could be observed was his blue colored eyes that stared at Neko and Kani with such an intensity of hate that it struck fear into the hearts of them both.
They were going to die here, they both thought. This monster was going to make sure with every fiber of his being that they wouldn't get to see another day. Flashes of memories passed between them as tears streamed down their faces.
The man started clapping with each clap slowing down until he stopped.
"I'm very impressed, you guys staminas are truly something else, making me and my boys chase you down for an hour straight, now you got me all sweaty." He said sarcastically.
"P-Please leave us alone, we didn't do anything to you." Neko stuttered out, gently holding Kani.
"Nuh uh uh," He waved his finger. "You see, you are not welcome on our planet, your aliens, so we as humans have the right to remove you from life. Aren't I right, boys?"
"Yes!" They all roared simultaneously, raising their weapons in the air.
"N-No, my parents are humans just like you!" Neko retorted, starting angrily at the mob despite being afraid.
"Bullshit!" The leader spat down at the ground and snatched a Molotov cocktail from one of his subordinates.
"I wonder what a burnt crab tastes like." He licked his lips and smiled sinisterly, ready to throw the Molotov, but before he could throw it, one of his lackeys grabbed his shoulder shakily.
"K-Keita l-look, over there!" He pointed at an abandoned smokestack, and standing at the top was a figure obscured by the darkness of the night, the only thing visible being his long, flowing, golden hair.
"How did he get up there? He must be one of them." Keita said calmly.
'A flying power? shit that would be the first I've seen or maybe he jumped up there, man, I got a bad feeling about this.'
"Everyone, move back! We've got a visitor." Keita ordered gravely, making sure to yell extra loud so the stranger could hear him.
The mob moved back a good five feet away from the duo and gripped their weapons tightly, and watched in horror as Diego leaped off the smokestack.
[Line Break]
As the wind whoshed past my face as I fell, I stared furiously at the mob, having seen and heard everything that had just transpired. Rotten scums - that's what they were. The bottom of society, to treat someone with such prejudice just because they were slightly different from you, made me seethe.
He landed directly in the middle of the groups with a boom, cracking the concrete. The mob started at Diego in a daze-like state; the duo was excluded as they weren't able to see his face, and only his back which acted like a shield.
"You!" Diego pointed at Keita. "Leave right now with the rest of your squad!"
"Calm down, there's no need to raise your voice, were just about to leave right now." Keita palms raised in surrender, and then quickly gave a knowing glance to his lackeys, who nodded, understanding what he was trying to do.
They slowly backed away, still facing Diego until they got a good distance away and ran off. Diego turnt around, facing the duo, and knelt down. Neko and Kani started at him nervously as there face started turning a light shade of pink.
"T-Thank you, y-you saved us." Neko hugged Diego tightly, but he just hovered his arms around her, confused about what she was doing.
"No problem, you should take your friend to the hospital, the injury looks bad," Diego said, glancing at Kani's wound.
Kani weakly got up, and Neko slung her arm over her shoulder and held her up. Kani then bowed, hissing slightly at the pain.
"Thank you for saving our lives." She smiled brightly.
Diego smiled back and was about to get up when he smelled a pungent aroma of gasoline. He snapped his head back and looked up in the air to see five Molotov cocktails, heading downwards fast towards there directions.
He grabbed both of them and moved them fifty feet away from the blast radius.
Shatter
The bottles shattered on impact, and fire engulfed where they just were.
