Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Awakening

A young woman who loved anime since she was a child, even now watching anime again and again with one piece being one of her favorite anime.

She had just graduated from college and had been working for the government for 4 years and a bit more, never forgetting her love for anime, manga and games. On her breaks or free time, she would sometimes watch anime or read fanfic novels of certain anime and games.

Sometimes, she would even imagine what life would be like if she was in the world of One Piece. Would she have a system, some supernatural abilities, become a random marine, a random pirate, or just a civilian. She was curious about the islands not mentioned in the One Piece world, to the ones mentioned and seen in the anime and manga.

The young woman was fine and content with her life, but her desire and her want to explore the world, to travel to different places, taking pictures and taking notes was unimaginable.

Yet, she wasn't able to.

All she could do was travel to areas near her home, sometimes taking small strolls and long walks in parks, beaches and malls. Due to her finances, she couldn't spare much money for travel. Especially given how she was now an adult with lots of responsibilities she just couldn't ignore and bills to pay.

But after saving meticulously for a whole year, she could know afford travel and still have enough to explore and experience of the country she was going to and still have a bit for savings and emergency.

After daydreaming in her job, she looked at the clock hanging high on the wall and seeing that work was now finally over, and her 2 mandatory days off starts tomorrow and a month of paid leave she hadn't yet used for the whole 4 years she had worked.

Finishing the work, she was doing and arranging and tidying her workspace, she gets her belonging and taking her motorcycle key. It was something she had bought for herself, and something she would use for camping.

It was one more thing she loved doing, camping and thankfully the area around her city and even on the edge of the city had a lot of locations for camping, and whenever she was camping, she would take notes and sketch whatever she saw.

From people taking a swimming in the beach, to trees, plants and vegetation, and to some birds and wild animals in the forest, to anything she would see anywhere when she was on her 2-day day offs.

While she was thinking about these things, and the upcoming travel and camping she was going to be doing, she didn't stop moving and riding her motorcycle all the way to her own personal home. Stopping right in front of her garage, she gets off and parks her motorcycle. The lot she had bought wasn't cheap and wasn't big either, but it was enough for a small 1-person home, and garage for her motorcycle that doubles as her storage.

She never stopped moving, packing things she could bring along in the plane. Clothes, Solar Power banks for her phone, camera and even some empty books for sketching and recording the experience and whatever she saw whether it was good or bad, she even bought a tablet and laptop along with her, some daily essentials like toothbrush, extra pair of shoes and even a 2-terabyte portable external hard drive, and few other extra accessories for her computer that would help her watch anime.

After she was all done, and after meticulous arrangement and indecisive moments. She finally finished packing her luggage, a small backpack, and her luggage.

Excitement was running through her body, making her a bit impatient, but she still behaved. As she knows by tomorrow, she would be boarding the plane and finally travelling to that place and camping.

Laying on her bed, doing a final check of everything, the sun had already disappeared at some point and was now replaced by a moon high above the sky, and noticing the time and the stars shining in the night sky, and seeing how sleepy she was, and how nothing seemed wrong about her preparations, passport and anything else, she decides to sleep.

The next day.

After settling in her bag above, she sat on her sit in the plane, taking pictures of the outside, and taking out things from her small satchel, writing and then sketching on her notebook, truly excited to travel.

The plane hadn't yet taken off, she just board the plane and recalling the earlier moments, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. She had almost missed her flight because she oversleep, thankfully there wasn't much traffic otherwise, the plane might have already left her behind.

Her thoughts were full of excitement and curiousity, looking around the plane, watching the people go about in their business, to the flight attendant doing humorous flight reminders and warnings, laughter filling the plane.

As the plane took off, she had feeling of unease, unsure where it came from or what was the reason of her unease, but she ignore it, looking at the little girl and her mother sitting beside her in the same row.

Waving her hand and smiling at the child besides her, the unease eased a little after watching the display of parental and familial affection between the mother and daughter. She couldn't help but smile.

During the flight, she had been watching anime and had gotten along with the little girl, becoming acquainted and close. But despite easing the unease, she could still feel that something was wrong.

Halfway through their flight, turbulence had occurred, the whole plane was shaking. The weather had been changing earlier, and there was small shaking but they said it was normal, yet now it was too much.

Some were screaming, and some were even crying, especially more so after the turbulence became violent after the lighting had struck the plane, resulting in one of the pilots dying due to the violent turbulence.

Seeing all the luggage, bags and items being thrown around in the plane, she couldn't believe her eyes, the unease now gone but now replaced by dread, despair, fear, panic and a hint of sadness in her eyes.

Looking around, she couldn't help but look at the mother and daughter hugging each other, the mother protecting and calming the little girl, who had started crying.

The plane was now falling, fortunately it wasn't straight down as the other pilot and the other engine was still safe and okay, but in the corner of her eyes, she saw something flying towards the mother and daughter, the trolly the flight attendant had been pushing.

They were still above water, and if the plane crashed there was still a chance of survival, but she didn't care, hastily removing her buckles and rushing to hug the mother and daughter together, shielding them from the trolly.

Her head and body was hit hard, causing it to bleed. As other things where being thrown around hitting her again and again.

The little girl was crying and sobbing in her mother's arm as she watch her get hit, injured and bleeding, as her mother tried to hold the tears back and comforting her child, and as she watched this scene dizzy and bleeding.

She caressed the head of the little girl, eyes full of resolve and softness.

"It's okay, everything is going to be alright, big sister is fine. After we land, let big sister treat to good food, I'll even give you my camera, how does that sound?"

Pacifying her the little girl, she made promises, as she put the camera which had been in her satchel in the little girls arms, as the pilot spoke of 'brace for impact'.

The pilot did everything he could and while it safely landed the plane on the water, he had died in the process, along with a few others and her who had been holding the mother and daughter tightly, in her embrace.

It wasn't immediate death, a sharp part of the trolly had broken and pierced her side, not wanting to scare the little girl, I reassured the crying and sobbing girl.

"Big sister is alright, the pretty flight attendant said someone will arrive soon, just like the pilot said, right?"

She said to the little girl, handing her passport to the little girl, and nodding to the mother, who had been worrying and thanking her.

"Could you hold onto this for big sister?… Why? Big sister needs to get treatment in the back of the plane with those flight attendant, and I don't want my passport to get dirty."

She caressed the little girl's head again, with the most softest smile she could do. Reassuring her, trying to ignore the pain in her pierced abdomen, and her pained right arm and left leg.

Settling behind in the back of the plane, where the flight attendants were frantically treating the injured and making calls.

She ignored the shocked expression of the people in front of her, finding a secluded spot and sat down. Unable to feel and hear the crowd surrounding her, watching them panicked trying to save her.

She weakly motioned to them to deal with others first. Her mind wondering to the people on the plane, quite a bit of people dead and the sit where she had been sitting had already been crushed by items, realising she would have most likely died or suffered severe injuries if she stayed sitting.

As her consciousness and life slowly slipped away, she had no regrets. She didn't want the mother and daughter to experience loss, or be orphan, it was something she had experienced and it was painful and lonely.

Still, her mind wondered to the things she liked, to the dreams she wanted to achieved, everything was flashing before her eyes as death finally took her.

*Spuussslh

She immediately woked up to find herself on an island surrounded by vast blue sea.
