"No more misery!"
As if jolted awake from a nightmare, a small figure suddenly sat upright in bed.
"Was it… a dream?"
"It was just another dream…"
Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, the boy's heavy breathing slowly calmed.
After a long moment, he leaned against the windowsill, opened the window, and gazed at the moon outside with dazed, unfocused eyes.
"Nezuko… Takeo… Hanako… Shigeru… Rokuta… and Mrs. Kamado…"
His deep voice was filled with apology and helplessness.
The moonlight fell across his face, revealing the delicate, handsome features of a young boy. Long black hair, golden pupils, purple eye shadow stretching toward the bridge of his nose, and skin so pale it seemed almost translucent. Even though he was still just a child, his face already showed the perfect outline of breathtaking beauty.
"Next time…
Kibutsuji Muzan…
The next time we meet, I will kill you with my own hands—just like the night you killed me."
His voice gradually faded into a whisper. Dark clouds drifted across the moon, swallowing the boy's entire figure in shadow.
"Farming, weeding, picking up trash, searching for cats for the fat auntie…
Uncle Naruto is going to be the future Hokage! How can I keep doing these low-level chores?"
After a full day of D-rank missions and saying goodbye to Kakashi-sensei, Team 7 still hadn't dispersed.
Naruto was complaining loudly to Sasuke and Sakura.
Although Sasuke looked as cool and indifferent as ever, a flicker of irritation showed in his eyes. He needed higher-level missions. He needed to grow stronger.
If he kept wasting time on tasks that even ordinary civilians could handle, how would he ever gain the power to kill that man?
"Want a more advanced mission?"
A slightly hoarse voice suddenly rang out, drawing the attention of all three genin. The voice carried a mix of youthful lightness and magnetic charm—easy to like.
"Advanced mission?"
Naruto's eyes lit up as he turned toward the sound, but his expression immediately shifted into a scowl.
"Huh? Just some brat who isn't even a ninja. What kind of missions would you know about?"
Even though the owner of the voice had strikingly good looks that made Naruto feel both envious and jealous, and even made Sakura momentarily speechless, it was obvious the boy had no signs of shinobi training. He was just an ordinary civilian.
Sasuke frowned and turned to leave. He had no patience for playing around with kids.
"Want to become stronger?"
The voice spoke again, this time carrying an unmistakable note of temptation.
Sasuke froze mid-step.
"If you want higher-level missions… if you truly want to become stronger…
then come with me."
The voice continued calmly:
"Uzumaki Naruto…
and the last surviving orphan of the Uchiha clan…
Uchiha Sasuke."
There was a faint smile in the tone. The speaker turned and began walking away, as if he didn't care whether the two boys followed.
"By the way, you can call me Yagami Haruto."
His footsteps never slowed. The voice drifted back from a distance.
"Hmph!"
Without hesitating for long, Sasuke snorted softly and followed.
No matter how much the boy who called himself Yagami Haruto sounded like a liar, no matter how ridiculous his words seemed, Sasuke was unwilling to let even the smallest chance to grow stronger slip away.
"Sasuke, you cunning bastard! The high-level mission belongs to Uncle Naruto!"
Seeing the two figures moving away, Naruto shouted and chased after them.
Sakura hesitated for only a moment before following as well. At the very least, she could stare at that handsome face a little longer… or spend more time near Sasuke.
"Welcome to the gap between worlds."
In the vast silver-white space, Yagami Haruto turned around and looked at the three stunned members of Team 7. A slightly fanatical gleam shone in his eyes.
The three twelve-year-old genin were completely shocked by the boundless silver-white world stretching before them. Everything was bathed in soft silver light—dazzling yet gentle. They stood on what felt like solid ground, even though they were clearly stepping on pure light, with no sense of weightlessness at all.
"The gap between worlds…?" Sasuke murmured, an expression rarely seen on his usually cold face.
Just moments ago they had followed the boy called Yagami Haruto back to his house. The moment he opened what looked like an ordinary bedroom door, they had stepped into this place.
"That's right—the gap between worlds," Haruto said. "Do you think our world is the only one?
No. In other worlds, there are far stronger people and far more invincible powers.
Travel to another world, complete the tasks given by that world, and receive the rewards it offers."
"And I… am the one who has made a pact with those worlds."
Haruto stared straight at Sasuke and leaned forward slightly. At that moment, this boy who was clearly just an ordinary civilian somehow gave Sasuke the absurd feeling of being looked down upon.
Of course, everything Haruto had just told them was only part of the truth.
In reality, seven days ago, this boy named Yagami Haruto had awakened the memories of his previous life on Blue Star—along with the special ability that came with them.
That ability, which could only be called a golden finger, was known as the **All-Heavens Copy System**.
Every seven days, the system would randomly select a brand-new copy. By completing the All-Heavens dungeon, Haruto could obtain a reward wheel and draw prizes from it.
The so-called "copies of the heavens" were fragments of real worlds from across the multiverse, intercepted and turned into dungeons.
For example, the very first copy Haruto opened after activating his golden finger was from *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba*.
The mission had been simple: save Nezuko from being infected by Muzan's blood.
Unfortunately, the moment he bravely entered the dungeon, he was hunted down by the Demon King of that world—Muzan Kibutsuji—and killed with Blue Silver Entanglement. He had no chance to resist.
Thankfully, every time a dungeon opened, Haruto received one Resurrection Stone, so he would never truly die.
However, if a mission failed, the copy would close forever and could never be entered again.
That was why, after waking from the same nightmare night after night, Haruto had finally accepted reality and decided to recruit powerful teammates to help him clear the dungeons.
Team 7 was his choice—the easiest team to use and the one with the most potential right now.
As for the village higher-ups who might notice something once the dungeon was exposed, Haruto wasn't too worried. The silver-white world before them was the system's mission hall. He could pass through any door—or even just a single door handle—to enter this place.
It was a special kind of safe house where Haruto was absolutely invincible.
As long as he could obtain his first bit of real power this time, even if his secret was exposed, he could hide here and survive on the large stockpile of food he had stored over the past few days until a copy suited to his strength appeared.
Then he could grow stronger step by step.
Besides, in the short term, as long as Team 7 didn't act too high-profile, he probably wouldn't be exposed at all.
