"Why did you not meet Alan Won today. I fixed your date with him and you left him waiting for you." John said with anger dripping from his voice.
"My patient was in need of immediate surgery dad and I can't ignore them for a mere date" Ava said trying to act normal but only she knew how anxious and scared she was feeling.
Her father had been an ideal and dreamy parent for her only during daytime but when the night arrives his drunk self only knows how to scar their emotions and their mind because of his actions and venomous words.

Ava just gave a subtle nod and left for her room.
As she locked the door she glanced at the picture frame on her table in which two teenage girls were smiling while side hugging each other.
She took the frame in her hands and a tear slipped her eye. That was the happiest day of her life. Her sister Chloe was her best friend who always protected her from their parents' violent outbursts. She was the older one who always treated her like her world . Until she met Ashton , her college mate whome she fell in love with.
Their parents' were the happiest because Ashton was the eldest son of the Managing Director Richard Hans of the multinational corporation 'Goldsmith'.
They both got married when Chloe turned 21 and Ava got separated from her sister . It's been 3 years since they last saw each other.
Josh did something which created disputes between the two families and chloe's in-laws forbidded them from contacting her.
