Vael's POV
The evening light in our apartment had become my favorite part of the day.
I stood on the balcony with a glass of wine in hand, watching the city lights slowly flicker on below. Lirien was inside, humming softly while he arranged his new art supplies on the desk by the window. The sound of his quiet happiness made something warm and steady settle in my chest.
I had been planning this for days.
A short vacation. Just the two of us. Somewhere quiet, with beautiful scenery and plenty of natural light for him to draw. I had already looked at several private resorts on the southern coast, small villas right by the sea, far from the busy capital. I wanted to take him somewhere he could finally relax completely, away from the stress of adjusting to Earth, away from the fear of his approaching heat, away from everything.
I wanted to spoil him. To show him that this new life could be soft and beautiful.
