"Mmmm! Masaru-san! Your dumplings always hit the spot!", Yuko said in a cheerful voice.
"Whatever, Its not like that makes me happy or anything!", Masaru replied.
Rento looked surprised. "An old man tsundere...? You don't see that every day, wow!"
Yuko glanced over at Rento and made a confused face. "What's wrong, Takahashi-kun? You don't seem to be enjoying the food?"
"HUH!!?? YOU DON'T LIKE MY FOOD!?", Masaru shouted. Rento panicked. "No no no! That's not it, I like it." Masaru went quiet for a second. He blushed and said, "Well, whatever! Its not like that makes me happy or anything!"
"Ehhhhh...? What a character..." Rento began stuffing his food as to not worry his senpai. "Why would you say that, senpai? I'm having a great time enjoying this food!"
"Hmmm, ok!", She replied. After finishing their meal, they just stayed there and chatted with Masaru for a while.
"So how's your son doing, Masaru-san?", Yuko asked.
Masaru sighed. "Well... Let's just say, I won't be getting grandchildren anytime soon." Yuko looked confused and intrigued. "What do you mean?? Did something bad happen?"
"He's dating a femboy."
"Ohhh... Good for him!", Yuko said with a big cheerful and happy smile on her face.
Rento looked interested. "Hmmm... Femboys... I could never ever imagine turning myself into that but you do you I guess."
brrring! brrring!
"Well... I guess our day won't be so quiet anymore, senpai.", Rento said in a sad voice.
"Yeah... Aww... I was really enjoying hanging out here..."
"We can come tomorrow too, senpai." "This is good though... A mission will be even better for distracting her thoughts from Takeru than hanging out."
Over at Ignis Coffee located in the Bunkyo Ward, an alternate had awakened in a staff member by the name of Koizumi Sakura. Through Tobu's unique ability, most people nearby had been guided away but the alternate managed to grab onto a bunch of Sakura's coworkers and was eating them alive with no mercy.
"Aww man! Its really hard to run when you're so damn full! My stomach feels too heavy!", Rento shouted while running out of breath.
"We- got- gotta try our hard- hardest, Takahashi-kun!", Yuko replied while also running out of breath.
The alternate was still at the scene eating those people, it had eaten 2 already and there was only one left. He begged it to stop and spare him but the alternate wasn't listening.
"PLEASE! PLEASE! JUST LET ME GO! I DON'T WANNA DIE!", He shouted while desperately trying to crawl away.
"Human... Must eat human!", The alternate shouted and started running towards the victim on all 4 limbs.
"NOOOOOO!!!! PLEASE!!!!!" The alternate was almost about to reach him and it seemed like the man was dead for sure but then... suddenly... there appeared a HERO!
"Stop it right there, you disgusting monster! Leave that poor civilian alone... He's a precious Japanese citizen! AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HARM HIM!"
Those were the words of a dark figure standing right outside the glass walls of the coffee shop, he was mostly in shadows due to the light of the sun behind him. With his hands on his hips, he was striking a typical superhero pose.
Both the alternate and the victim awkwardly looked at him for a few seconds. The mysterious man started clearing his throat. "Umm... RUN ALONG, CITIZEN! I'M HERE TO HANDLE THIS MONSTER!"
"Is this a dream...? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?", The man screamed. "Don't worry, sir. Just run away, the monster won't chase you down." The alternate was just staring at the figure looking extremely intrigued. Taking this chance, the man ran away from the scene as far away as he could. When he was far enough, Tobu made him forget all of this.
"Huh? Where am I? I was just working, wasn't I? Hmmm... I don't know why but I feel like I should just keep on walking further away from the coffee shop for a while."
Back at the coffee shop, the figure slowly walked into the building revealing his look. He was wearing a spandex suit that covered his whole body, it seemed to be inspired from Super Sentai but it looked nowhere as cool. It was a very low budget and goofy looking outfit and that made the alternate even more intrigued.
"COME ON THEN, MONSTER! COME AT ME!"
"HEHEHEHE! Funny... Funny human!"
He chuckled. "So you think I'm funny, eh? Lets see if you still think that after you witness my amazing and incredible power!" He placed his hand near a wall and somehow slid out a paper from it, he then took out a pen and started writing something on it. After finishing his writing, he flipped the paper and revealed it to the alternate. He had written the kanji for explosion, 爆, on it. The alternate just stared at it looking confused and still on 4 limbs.
"Heh! Just you wait, villain of the week!"
He placed the paper on the ground behind him and struck another pose, this one inspired from the henshin roll calls in Super Sentai.
"BEHOLD MY DAZZLING POWER! IT IS I, KANJI-MAN!"
boom! A tiny explosion occurred behind him where he had placed the paper.
"..."
"..."
"WHERE'S THE REACTION, YOU FOOL! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO BE A PROPER VILLAIN OF THE WEEK, HUH!?"
"HEHEHEHE! Funny human! I like funny human!"
"How dare you make fun of me, you disgusting monster! I shall make you pay for this!", Kanji-Man shouted and rushed towards the alternate with his fist clenched in anger.
"KANJI PUNCH!"
He delivered a blow directly on the alternate's face and it got sent flying into the wall. "I must say, It hurts me to attack a beautiful lady's face but I as a hero have no other choice. Listen here, you disgusting monster! I'll defeat you and bring peace and justice to that poor woman's soul whose body you have defiled, you got that!?"
"WAHHHH!!! WAHHHH!!! FUNNY HUMAN HIT ME! I DON'T LIKE FUNNY HUMAN NOW! MUST EAT FUNNY HUMAN! WAHHHH!!!"
Meanwhile, Rento and Yuko were still struggling to get to the scene.
"Almost there, senpai... Just a little longer!", Rento said in an exhausted voice.
"Oh no, Takahashi-kun... We've messed up! We're taking too long! What if the alternate already went somewhere else and found more people to eat!?"
"Don't worry, Senpai... It hasn't been that lo-"
brrring! brrring!
"Huh? A call from Otori-san?", Yuko said.
"Great work, you guys! You did this mission way quicker than usual and you even managed to save one of the people already captured. All this even without a 3rd member, you guys rock!"
"Wait, what're you talki-"
Tobu hung up the phone.
Rento looked confused as hell. "What the hell was that about, senpai!?"
"It seems like there's someone else at the scene dealing with the alternate..."
