I looked in the mirror everyday and realised I was looking for the person they keep describing, it's terrifying how easily the people who raised you can rewrite your own identity within a few well- timed jokes. They think they're just joking or talking but I feel like I'm being erased, one laugh at a time.
For my family, "The dinner table is their stage" And I am their favorite topic.
