Chapter 35 - Chapter 35:Shockwaves across realities

Even after the Null Entity vanished, the consequences of the battle did not end.

The violence of Langa filling his entire prime reality had strained neighboring universes.

In one adjacent dimension, stars flickered out for several seconds before returning.. entire civilizations recorded it as "The Silent Night."

In another, magic collapsed temporarily. Spells misfired, ley lines twisted, and ancient wards failed. Scholars concluded something had briefly overridden their fundamental laws.

A hyper-technological reality detected impossible data:

Infinite-mass readings that vanished instantly

Time loops lasting 0.003 seconds

A cosmic "presence" filling all coordinate points

They logged it as "External Universal Occupation Event."

Even astral beings across layered realms whispered of a "Primordial Consciousness" that briefly overlapped existence and then withdrew.

The ripple effects would be studied for millennia.

The South Pole Clone Receives the Information

Far away, in the temporal anomaly beneath Antarctica, the continent-level clone of Langa paused mid-flight.

Information flooded into him... not spoken, not transmitted, but shared instinctively through the original's expanded consciousness.

He saw:

The war

The expansion

The erasure of the Null

The shaking of reality

The clone exhaled slowly.

"…So he reached that stage already…"

He didn't interfere. That wasn't his purpose. His mission remained exploration.

He continued deeper into this magic-and-cosmic-force-filled multiverse.

He crossed a region of space that looked deceptively empty.. only faint nebulae and distant stars. But his perception picked up something… watching.

Not hostile.

Observing.

Then they appeared.

Tall, robed figures materialized around him, their heads disproportionately large, eyes glowing with ancient knowledge. They did not move aggressively. They simply observed.

The clone tilted his head.

"…Interesting."

One of them spoke, voice echoing across space and mind simultaneously.

"You are not native to this continuum."

The clone studied them carefully. Their presence felt… familiar. Not in power, but in role.

Observers. Detached. Cosmic historians.

Recognition clicked.

"…You call yourselves watchers?" he asked.

They nodded.

"We are known as the Watchers. We observe, but do not interfere."

The clone's eyes narrowed slightly.

Marvel.

This structure, the cosmic layering, the observers… it matched the multiverse he had glimpsed through the anomaly.

He spoke calmly:

"So this reality aligns with the framework of the Marvel Universe."

The nearest Watcher tilted its head.

"You possess knowledge of this classification."

"I've seen many realities," the clone replied.

They observed him more closely now, their cosmic senses probing his nature. They sensed:

A being connected to something far larger

A consciousness linked to another universe

Evolution still ongoing

One Watcher finally said:

"You are… unusual. Your origin does not belong to any catalogued reality."

The clone smirked slightly.

"I get that a lot."

They continued observing silently. Unlike most beings, they did not panic at his power. They simply recorded.

One of them added:

"Your prime self… caused the disturbance we all felt."

The clone nodded.

"Yes."

"Will he expand here as well?"

The clone looked into the distance thoughtfully.

"…Only if something forces him to."

The Watchers seemed satisfied.

They did not attack. They did not interfere.

They simply… watched.

And for the first time since entering this multiverse, the clone realized he was standing before beings whose entire existence revolved around observing events like his.

He chuckled quietly.

"…So even here… someone's always watching."

The robed figures formed a loose circle around the Langa clone, their presence calm yet immense.

They did not radiate hostility. only timeless authority.

The nearest Watcher spoke again, voice layered with cosmic resonance.

"You stand within a structured multiverse governed by balance and observation. You must understand its rules."

The clone folded his arms, listening patiently.

"Go on."

Rule One

Non-Interference

One of the Watchers raised a hand.

"We observe. We do not interfere. This principle defines our existence."

They gestured toward countless faint lights across space... timelines branching, universes overlapping.

"Events must unfold naturally. Interference from higher beings risks destabilizing entire chains of causality."

The clone nodded slightly.

"So you let disasters happen."

"We allow growth," the Watcher corrected calmly.

Rule Two

Hierarchies of Power

Another Watcher continued.

"This multiverse contains layered entities. Cosmic forces, abstracts, and primordial beings. Each occupies a role."

The clone felt faint signatures in distant layers.. enormous presences embedded in reality itself.

"Some embody concepts. Others regulate balance. Some exist beyond linear time."

He understood immediately. This reality had structured cosmic authorities, not just random powerful beings.

Rule Three

Dimensional Boundaries

"You originate from outside," the Watcher said. "Your existence is not anchored here. Large-scale alterations by you or your prime self could fracture this continuum."

The clone raised an eyebrow.

"You're worried I'll… break things."

"Yes."

He smiled faintly.

"Fair concern I guess.. ."

Rule Four

Observation of Anomalies

The Watchers' gaze intensified.

"You are classified as an anomaly. You will be observed."

The clone shrugged.

"I expected that."

"We do not interfere unless existence itself is threatened."

The implication was clear: they would only act if he became too dangerous.

Rule Five

Respect the Balance

The final Watcher spoke.

"This multiverse maintains equilibrium between cosmic forces, mystical civilizations, and mortal development. Overwhelming intervention from an external being may draw attention from higher regulators."

The clone tilted his head.

"Higher than you?"

They nodded.

"Yes."

For the first time, the clone felt something intriguing. This multiverse had layers above the observers themselves.

He listened quietly, then answered:

"I'm here to explore. Not conquer. Not rule, I'm just looking around and possibly learning ."

The Watchers studied him, sensing sincerity and the immense restraint behind his power.

"You will be allowed to continue," they said.

"But we will watch."

The clone smirked.

"I wouldn't expect anything less."

He then turned, preparing to continue deeper into this cosmic framework.. now fully aware he had stepped into a structured multiverse where even beings like him were carefully monitored.

Behind him, the Watchers remained motionless, recording everything.

The anomaly… had entered their records.

The clone didn't move immediately. Instead, he looked back at the silent circle of observers, curiosity flickering in his expression.

"Tell me something," he said calmly. "Where are the timelines that… aren't important?"

The Watchers did not react with offense, they understood what he meant.

He wasn't dismissing lives; he was asking for low-stability branches, places where intervention wouldn't destabilize major cosmic balances.

One Watcher stepped forward.. the one whose presence felt slightly more… involved. His gaze carried subtle familiarity with events beyond pure observation.

The others shifted slightly, allowing him to speak.

It was Uatu the Watcher.

"You seek peripheral timelines," Uatu said. "Branches already trending toward collapse or severe divergence."

The clone nodded.

"Exactly."

Uatu lifted his hand. Space unfolded like a layered map.. thousands of branching realities shimmering like threads.

"Many such timelines exist," he continued. "Some are fractured by temporal manipulation. Others by catastrophic mutation events."

He highlighted a cluster of realities.

"These are tied to the X-Men branches."

The clone leaned forward slightly.

"Mutant timelines?"

"Yes," Uatu replied. "Several of them experience… unfavorable outcomes."

Images formed in space:

A world dominated by mutant oppression camps

A timeline ruled by an ancient tyrant mutant

Futures where extinction-level wars devastated Earth

Branches where time paradoxes left reality unstable

"These timelines possess the worst fates," Uatu explained. "They are heavily fragmented and already destabilized. Intervention there would have minimal multiversal ripple."

The clone's smirk deepened.

"Sounds perfect."

Uatu studied him carefully.

"You intend to interfere."

"I intend to explore," the clone replied. "If I fix something along the way… that's just collateral."

The Watchers remained silent.

Uatu finally gestured outward. A shimmering path opened, leading toward fractured timeline clusters.

"Follow this vector. You will encounter one of the darkest mutant futures first."

The clone nodded.

"Appreciate it."

He stepped forward, his body dissolving into luminous motion as he followed the direction indicated.

The space around him warped, guiding him toward the unstable X-Men timelines.

Behind him, Uatu watched quietly.

Another Watcher spoke softly:

"Should we intervene if he alters them?"

Uatu shook his head.

"No. Those timelines are already broken… and sometimes… anomalies create new possibilities."

Far ahead, the Langa clone accelerated toward a fractured reality where the future had gone terribly wrong.

And he was smiling.
