Chapter 11 - Round 4: Part 1

Sweetness. Sweetness is in all things if you think about it enough. You can eat some and others aren't recommended for eating by societal standards. This is important because there was once a man that ate worlds. He was great at it. He was good friends with two of the bad who had passed on.

"We need to find someone strong or smart. The last two rounds have been over story. Game theory says that they can't do that three times in a row. An eleven percent chance of that happening. Plus, from the strangeness of the last round, I think that we might be show ponies of sorts. So that means that the game has to stay entertaining. Thus, story will not show up on the next two fights."

The theory was very interesting to Bo. Though he was never known for being the brightest in any room he stepped into, he could put together that to a degree, the game masters were trying to rig it to be as entertaining as possible.

If the game was rigged, that meant the worst likely outcome was to be, only one single person is going to leave after a great duel of the two bests of each side. Bo made a silent vow to himself that if anyone in the good side were to survive this, it would be the Traveler. He was strange, but he had a way about him that lit up the room when he stepped in. To everyone else, he was a Caucasian male with brown hair and a hint of an English accent. For the few children in the apartment building, he would show them magic tricks before doing anything that had gone into the realm of actual magic.

Today, he was performing magic tricks with Bo, Ron, and two others. All Bo knew about the two men was that one of them was a pessimist and the other was a genius.

"You see the coin?" He showed a brown coin in his palm before he shoved his hand into his pocket and lifted it out. When he opened his hand, there were two coins in his hand. "Now there's two!"

"You had another coin in your pocket."

"Is that so?" The Traveler shoved his hand back in his pocket before looking at the ceiling. "Check your ear."

All the men did so and found a coin behind their ears. Bo didn't care for magic tricks, but the genius looked so joyous that he allowed himself to bask in the joy of the trick. The nihilist and Ron on the other hand weren't too happy.

"Why are we here?"

"That's what I've been asking myself ever since we got here. But there is one thing that confuses me about it. Though now I think we're on some kind of celestial game show."

"Pretty barbaric if you ask me."

The Traveler nodded his head in agreement with the nihilist. For all it was worth, there was still some good in the bad and bad in the good. No matter what had happened, neither side would hold the other fully accountable for what was happening, they were victims to a circumstance outside of their own control.

"It is very barbaric. Good observation. Now I'm going to take a nap because I just can't stand watching this stuff."

The Traveler had watched so much fighting in his time that he soon found himself numb to it. He was smart enough to know he was being numb and that put him on the path to stop fighting.

The genius turned tail and spoke words that would only be understood for those in the high end of intelligence. That being everyone besides Bo and Ron.

"If you can't lie, then ask a question."

The genius was named Roswald. He was born in the final days of humanity from his universe.

When he made his way to the entrance, his pride was next to unmated. Little did he know, the bad had dug deep for this round. The math had lined up enough for them to understand where this was going, and they tried their strategy off a godly being once again.

He was from the second dimension. He was complex in the literal sense but besides residing to the regular actions of gods in this tournament, that being burning civilizations, he was a regular joe amongst them.

Once the doors opened and the two stepped into the light, they could see one another perfectly. For this fight, the two-dimensional creature showed himself as he was. A square with nowhere to be. If he lost the round, then this would be a moment to be held forever.

"Let's get this party started!"

The announcer's voice came over the intercom and the wheel span. If the math was right, the genius's victory would've been confirmed. The chance of either winning according to the genius was fifty-fifty. To the two-dimensional creature, it would've been a hundred percent. The two gazed at each other with nothing but joy for the game. It was truly going to be one for the ages.
