Chapter 160 - The Millelith

Now, at Wangshu Inn, Li Mo sat on stage, telling the story slowly, while the audience listened intently below. But when he spoke of Bosacius entering the Chasm and preparing to help the Millelith fight, every listener was stunned.

As natives of Liyue, though five hundred years had passed, there were still teahouse storytellers who told tales of the Chasm even today. They often spoke of the shamans who feared not death, of the Millelith who fought bravely against the monsters, and of the mysterious nameless yaksha. But no storyteller had ever known the nameless yaksha's true identity, let alone his name.

Until today, this was the first time anyone had revealed that nameless yaksha's name. It was Bosacius. He was the foremost yaksha under Rex Lapis and the most powerful yaksha who had ever lived.

Hearing the storyteller say that Bosacius was that nameless yaksha, the audience erupted in discussion.

"Damn you, storyteller—didn't you say the karmic debt on Bosacius's soul was weakening? And now you send him to die in the Chasm? How cruel can you be?"

"This is the first time I've heard that the nameless yaksha who died in the Chasm was Bosacius. Could the storyteller be making this up?"

"It doesn't seem made up. The previous stories have all been confirmed. This one is probably true too."

"Even with his memories gone, he still didn't forget to protect Liyue. I'm really crying now."

"Is it possible that Bosacius didn't die in the Chasm? Maybe he went into hiding again after the battle?"

"Stop arguing. Let the storyteller continue."

"Besides the yaksha, there are also the shamans Boyang and Rongzhao, who weren't afraid to die. Why do those names sound so familiar?"

"Wait—they sound like the names of Lady Yelan's ancestors?"

"Is it possible that the shamans who fought the monsters in the Chasm were actually Lady Yelan's ancestors?"

"Someone go inform Lady Yelan."

Upon hearing this, some people immediately left the inn, intending to tell the busy Lady Yelan that Boyang and Rongzhao had appeared in the story.

After murmuring for a while, the audience realized that their chatter was affecting the storyteller. They fell silent.

Now, in a corner of the inn, Xiao watched the storyteller with rapt attention, listening to every detail. When he heard that Bosacius had gone to the Chasm, he was not surprised. He had once searched for his elder brother there. But sadly, he had found nothing.

Now, all Xiao could do was silently pray that Bosacius had survived the battle at the Chasm.

Just then, a Wangsheng Funeral Parlor worker carrying a large stack of flyers approached Hu Tao. "Director, we've printed ten thousand copies of the flyers you requested. What should we do with them?"

Hu Tao looked at the flyers her subordinate had brought and was very satisfied. They looked exactly as she had designed. On them were Zhongli's portrait and Rex Lapis's name. It was highly disrespectful to Rex Lapis. But Hu Tao didn't care. Even if Zhongli found out, he couldn't blame her.

Hu Tao smiled. "Wait a moment. After the storyteller finishes this story, distribute the flyers in the inn. Turn everyone here into our customers."

The worker said cautiously, "But Rex Lapis is sitting right over there. What if he sees this?"

Hu Tao waved dismissively. "So what? I'm the director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. He's just a consultant. What can he do?"

The worker sighed. "Understood."

...

When the audience below had quieted down, Li Mo took a sip of tea and continued.

As he spoke, the Electro energy above the inn gathered again, and the frozen images began to shift. The images showed the war-torn Chasm.

By now, Bosacius and the shamans had entered the Chasm. Though they were only at the outermost edge, they had already encountered several waves of monsters on the steep cliffs. Each time monsters appeared, the imposing yaksha rushed forward first, like an undefeated war god, dispatching them with a few punches and kicks. Against such ordinary creatures, he did not even need to use his abilities. He could slay them with ease.

Boyang, Rongzhao, and the other shamans could only stare in awe. So powerful. Even among yakshas, he must be exceptionally strong. Such a yaksha could not be nameless.

But with Liyue in turmoil, why was this powerful yaksha not stationed at Liyue Harbor, instead wandering to the Chasm? Could it be that Rex Lapis had sent him as reinforcement?

Boyang walked up to Bosacius and said with a smile, "Brother Yaksha, with power like yours, you must be no ordinary person. Did Rex Lapis send you to reinforce the Chasm?"

Bosacius's expression flickered. "Rex Lapis? Who is that?"

He had even forgotten the Archon he had once served.

Seeing this, the shamans finally understood: this Brother Yaksha had truly lost his memory. Otherwise, he could not fail to know Rex Lapis. Though they did not know the yaksha's origins, as they fought together, they were comrades.

Under Boyang's lead, the group advanced cautiously. The complex terrain and the constant threat of monsters slowed their progress. But before long, from another path on the cliffs, they heard the sounds of battle.

"By the Millelith's oath, unyielding as stone—"

"Steadfast as armor, we shall subdue all evil—"

"Millelith, form ranks!"

"Slay the enemy!"

"Hold back the monsters!"

The clamor of battle echoed from another trail on the cliff face. Hearing this, Boyang and Rongzhao exchanged glances and immediately rushed toward the sound.

But before they could take more than a few steps, a terrifying aura swept past them. In a flash, a figure wreathed in lightning shot forward like a beam of light. It was their nameless yaksha companion.

Boyang shouted, "Rongzhao, hurry! Let's help Brother Yaksha!"
