Chapter 170 - Chapter 170: Earth Nation

"Aren't you going to eat, Father? It's really delicious~"

The Progenitor shook his head, took an ice cream, and began analyzing its composition, his expression somewhat helpless.

"Didn't I tell you not to eat things from the city? Your constitution is weak; don't be willful."

Mika looked at Yuichiro and found Yuichiro looking back at him simultaneously. Mika spoke up.

"Willful."

Yuichiro refused to be outdone.

"Weak constitution."

Before the Progenitor could finish analyzing the ice cream, Angel Mika suddenly covered his mouth and began coughing violently, so much so that he couldn't stand steadily. The ice cream fell to the ground, and Angel Mika knelt on the floor.

When the coughing stopped, Angel Mika felt a warm sensation on his hand. He saw that the palm he had used to cover his mouth was now soaked with blood.

Angel Mika looked at the slowly melting ice cream on the ground and said slowly.

"What a waste..."

"See..."

Angel Mika looked up and asked, interrupting the Progenitor.

"I'm sorry, but this isn't because I ate a snack, is it?"

The Progenitor didn't answer Angel Mika's question immediately. Instead, with a wave of his hand, he created a large disc, placed Angel Mika on it, and then spoke.

"No, this is because you didn't keep your promise and stayed outside for too long. The air outside isn't suitable for you."

Angel Mika looked guilty; he had worried his father again... The Progenitor didn't seem to blame him.

"Go to the Cleansing Chamber now."

Upon hearing this, Angel Mika was very unwilling.

"I hate that place..."

But when Angel Mika met the Progenitor's calm, unfathomable eyes, his protest weakened.

"I'm sorry... Father, will my illness ever get better?"

"Of course, when you grow up, it will be cured."

Hearing this, even Yuichiro looked grave and asserted.

"He's lying!"

Mika nodded in agreement.

"Yes, it definitely won't be cured."

Afterward, Angel Mika and the Progenitor had a series of warm conversations before Angel Mika left with the black sphere "Yu." It was hard to believe that the usually cold Progenitor Sigmado could be like this.

"Another side of the Progenitor is gradually being revealed."

Krul was somewhat emotional. Once, she had also been grateful to this guy.

Yuichiro's expression grew even more resolute.

"This must be a memory from just before Angel Mika's death!"

Mika stared blankly at the Progenitor's figure.

"And then, the Progenitor really loved his child. But when his beloved child died..."

Luke, however, didn't care about these superficial things.

"More than that, I'm more concerned about something else."

Krul asked.

"Are you talking about the power the Progenitor just used?"

Luke nodded.

"It's a power that made me feel somewhat threatened..."

Krul felt the same way, but Mika and Yuichiro were completely confused. Although it was the first time they had seen the Progenitor create a disc out of thin air in their memories, they felt nothing. It seemed only Vampires would have such a feeling.

Then the four split into pairs again, searching for clues about Vampires or other things in this Angel metropolis.

Time here was also different from the outside. They had been in the memory for over a day, but Yuichiro, who had gone to eat to replenish energy, said the water he accidentally spilled on the ground hadn't fully evaporated yet.

Another day passed in the memory. The Angel City square was bustling, crowded with Angels as if summoned. Above the square, a light screen floated in the air, projecting the upper body of the Progenitor. The Progenitor also stood on a floating platform in the square, seemingly ready to speak at any moment.

"Hmm, even in such a sci-fi metal city, there are still scenes like this for in-person meetings."

"Do you think being a ruler is easy? Sometimes, such occasions are necessary to boost authority."

In a corner of the square, Krul and Luke had also arrived.

As Krul spoke, she couldn't hold back any longer and asked.

"What are you doing?!"

Luke smiled and shook the two branches in his hand.

"Concealment. Although no one can see us, I think as outsiders, we should have a sense of ritual for stealth."

Krul was speechless. She wondered if Luke's intelligence was on loan and returned when not in use, leaving only a childlike baseline.

"King!"

"King!!!"

The Angels' cheers grew louder and louder, only subsiding when the Progenitor raised his hand.

"King of Earth, Lord Sigmado!"

"Everyone, quiet down."

The entire square instantly fell silent.

The Progenitor began his speech. Luke also threw away the branches in his hand, which disappeared instantly, no one knew where.

"I want to thank you all. I received a report that our Tower, compared to other satellite nations, has once again won the honor of being the 'highest'!"

"Oh!!!"

The Angels cheered!

Krul was very surprised upon hearing this.

"There are higher beings above the Progenitor! What are satellite nations?"

Luke stroked his chin in thought, actually recalling memories.

"Satellite... maybe it refers to Earth? Perhaps Angels aren't only on Earth?"

Luke's brain was back, and Krul was relieved.

After the Angels' excitement died down, the Progenitor continued his "acceptance speech."

"The Photon Quantity, the source of our race's power, is also about to reach ninety percent of the target amount."

As he spoke, the Progenitor spread his six wings, and the power he used earlier to create the disc surged from his body. From his words, it could be guessed that this was the so-called "Photon Quantity."

"Thanks to everyone's efforts, our 'Earth Nation' is one step closer to the'Sun' where the 'God' resides."

"It sounds like that tower is meant to reach the sun... physics doesn't exist anymore."

The Progenitor shouted to the Angels.

"Rejoice! We are finally about to reach paradise!"

Cheers that shook heaven and earth erupted, showing how much these Angels longed for paradise.

The Progenitor looked at the cheering Angels below, feeling equally excited.

"King of Earth."

A call came from beside him. The Progenitor turned and saw two Angels with distinct faces walking up, smiling.

"It's wonderful to follow in your footsteps. Our long-cherished wish is finally about to come true!"

"Finally about to come true."

Krul noticed these two, her eyes showing even greater surprise.

"Rig?! Urd?!"

Then Krul's pupils contracted sharply as she saw several more Angels walking up, each corresponding to someone from her memories.

The Progenitor nodded, looking at the few more Angels approaching.

"Yes, you two have worked hard too, Paimon (Rig), Bael (Urd). And also..."

"Amon," — "Ashera!"

"Belial," — "That's... me?!"

"Astaroth," — "Lest Karr!"

Luke also searched for familiar faces.

"Marbas," — "byakkomaru."

"Bathin," — "Thunder Demon."

"Naberius," — "Shinya."

"Raum," — "Moonlight Rhyme."

"Orobas." — "Ghost Box King."

Krul began to doubt Vampire existence. Did I originate from ancient times?
