Officer Roger grabbed Ashura's wrist and pulled him toward the door. His grip was firm, leaving no room to resist.
Ashura glanced back at the room, his breath hitching. No one is here for me.
A tear slipped down his cheek as his eyes slowly closed. Silence filled the air.
BAM.
He collapsed to the floor, the sound hitting hard.
A faint sound of muffled crying echoed… before everything went black.
Two days later.
Inside the laboratory, Aaron lay on the bed. Bandages wrapped tightly around his body.
His voice trembled slightly. "It's not his fault… why is he being punished…?"
"We don't know…" Anjali stood beside him. Her hand gently caressed his hair.
"Can you tell me what happened exactly…?" she asked softly.
Aaron slowly explained everything. Silence filled the room after his words ended.
Anjali's gaze shifted toward the TV.
"People want him to die…" Emilia muttered softly. Her voice cracked slightly.
"That's… bad…"
"It's not even his fault," Ronan spoke coldly. His eyes remained steady.
"It was all…" his words stopped midway.
Asha combed her hair quietly. "Can't you protect him, mom…?" she asked softly.
Her tone held a hidden weight.
"It's impossible…" Anjali replied coldly. A hint of regret slipped into her voice.
"People want him dead now… even his family gave up on him…"
"Ashura… is alone now…" her words fell heavy in the air.
The room felt colder.
Zara clenched her teeth in anger. "Mom, you know he's in a coma…"
"He can't even defend himself… how can they do this?"
"Humans… how can they be this cruel…?" her voice trembled with rage.
Her fists tightened slowly.
"That's why God created us…" Aaron muttered weakly.
"As a balance of kindness and darkness…"
"Humans… are our dark side, maybe…"
Asha tied her hair back, her expression turning cold.
Anjali stood up slowly. Her gaze swept across the room.
"I have a plan…" she muttered coldly.
Her lips barely moved. Her eyes were colder than ice.
The atmosphere shifted instantly.
Zara frowned in confusion. "What plan…?"
Her voice carried unease.
Anjali grabbed her coat. "No fighting, kids… take care of Aaron."
"I'll be back soon."
She opened the door and walked out. Her footsteps echoed in the silence.
The door closed behind her.
Asha spoke softly. "What happened to mom…?"
Her eyes followed the door.
"Don't know…" Riven shook his head slowly.
Confusion lingered in the room.
The hospital room was silent. Cold… ruthless.
Only faint, uneven breaths echoed through the oxygen mask.
Ashura lay on the bed, his body wrapped tightly in bandages.
An oxygen mask covered his face, his chest rising slowly.
His heartbeat was weak. Almost… lifeless.
As if death was waiting patiently.
A few white flowers rested beside him on the table.
Placed carefully… like someone still cared.
On the media screen, a woman spoke coldly.
"Almost two days ago, Ashura Rivaan… a 17-year-old boy…"
"…killed nearly 29 people and destroyed a power plant."
"Our sources suggest he intended to kill his own family."
"He was also assisted by an unidentified boy."
"We are trying to locate that individual as well."
"As for Ashura… he will likely face a death sentence."
The crowd murmured. Then the whispers turned sharp.
"How cruel…" "He doesn't deserve to live…"
"I said it already… he should've died."
"He's a devil… remove him."
"Ashura Rivaan… you're the worst."
"How can someone kill innocent people…?"
"He's a traitor…"
"Why wait? Just kill him already…"
The crowd buzzed with anger. Hatred spread like fire.
The world had already judged him.
Inside the house, the atmosphere felt heavy and silent.
Ruhi sat near the window, staring at the flowers.
"People are accusing him…" she muttered sadly.
"…He deserves it though."
Rivaan stood up and walked toward the door.
"You shouldn't feel regret for a murderer."
"He's the worst brother you could have."
His voice was firm… without hesitation.
"…Yeah… it's true…" Avni's voice trembled.
She lowered her head. "I wish he gets death sentenced…"
But her eyes betrayed her words.
They weren't as cold as her voice.
Rishabh stared at them silently.
This is wrong… his thoughts shook.
"They're not even supporting him…"
"Ashura doesn't deserve this…"
"I wish… I could save him…"
He lowered his gaze in shame.
Inside the room, Shina clutched her pillow tightly.
Her tears wouldn't stop.
"They're killing him…" her voice broke badly.
"Ashura…"
She cried out loudly.
Her pain filled the room.
Shizu sat quietly on a chair.
"Lady Shina… please don't cry…"
But Shina cried even more.
Her sorrow only deepened.
Shizu's eyes turned cold.
"I will protect him…" she muttered.
In the streets, Harsh sat on the stairs, sipping his juice.
"We have to save Ashura…" he muttered coldly.
Reyansh fixed his hair and nodded.
"Maybe he's a murderer… but he's our friend."
"No one can harm him… except us."
His tone stayed cold.
Yash lowered his head quietly.
"He's on a ventilator… I feel bad…"
"We shouldn't blame him without knowing the truth."
"Let's go check on him."
All of them stood up at once.
Harsh finished his juice and tossed it aside.
"Don't give up, Ashura…"
"We're almost there."
Inside an organization, Ishaan stood near a window.
The room felt tense.
"You, Commander Ayush… and 24 guards…" a man spoke coldly.
"…couldn't defeat a single human?"
"Shame on all of you."
His voice echoed with authority.
"Sorry, sir…" Ishaan lowered his head.
His voice trembled slightly.
"…But he's on a ventilator now…"
Silence followed his words.
Ishaan turned his back slowly.
"Sorry… brother… I'm too weak…"
A tear slipped down his cheek.
Silence swallowed his regret.
Back in the hospital room.
Anjali stood in front of Ashura.
"You don't deserve this…" she muttered coldly.
Her fingers slowly removed his oxygen mask.
One by one, she pulled out the injections.
The wires fell lifeless beside him.
She lifted him into her arms gently.
"Let's go, Ashura…"
"I will protect you."
"A promise… from your elder sister."
Her gaze sharpened as she turned away.
Her footsteps echoed through the empty room.
Everyone in the hospital was asleep.
It wasn't coincidence… it was her plan.
