Chapter 30 - SEASON 1 | EPISODE 30: THE MONSTER’S MERCY

The 4:30 A.M. Awakening

The darkness of the Bhilai night was absolute when the digital clock on the wall flickered to 4:30 A.M.. Aaryan Sahu did not wake up slowly; he transitioned from deep sleep to total alertness in a fraction of a second, a result of his refined mental protocols. He stood over Shreya's bed, his silhouette casting a long, intimidating shadow in the dim light of the room.

"Wake up, Shreya," Aaryan commanded, his voice cold and cutting through her dreams. "Hurry up. We don't have extra time for laziness."

Shreya groaned, her body still aching from the previous day's rescue from the Rajasthan lake. When she finally forced her eyes open, she saw a sight that felt surreal. In the center of the training area, Simran and Riya were already moving. They weren't just stretching; they were performing high-intensity combat drills with a speed that made them look like blurs of light.

Shreya sat up, rubbing her face. "Why... why do you do this? It's still dark outside."

Aaryan didn't even look back as he began his own set of weighted movements. "To be fit and fine," he answered flatly. "In this world, weakness is a death sentence. Every week, we increase the difficulty of the routine. And from this moment onwards, your Deadly Training officially starts."

He paused, turning his cold, blue-tinted gaze toward her. "To complete this level of training, it took Simran two months of constant work. But for you, I have set the deadline at 15 days. That means you have 4x less time than she did."

Shreya's heart hammered against her ribs. "But why? Why 4x less time? That's impossible!"

"Because," Aaryan said, his voice dropping into a lethal baritone, "some people are trying to kill me. And they are trying to kill everyone who lives with me. They are called the Watchers."

He decided to reveal everything. He explained the existence of the System, his god-level powers, and the looming threat of the inter-dimensional observers who were tracking his every move. By the time he finished, Shreya was no longer just a rescued girl; she was a member of the team, joined to the System's fate.

The Monster in the Gym

The next three hours were a descent into physical agony for Shreya. Aaryan acted like a total monster. He forced her into positions that pushed her flexibility to the breaking point and made her perform repetitions until her lungs felt like they were filled with broken glass.

"Please... stop," Shreya gasped, her hands trembling as she tried to hold a high-pressure plank. "I can't... my muscles..."

Aaryan stood over her, his arms crossed. He didn't offer a hand; he didn't offer a word of comfort. He watched her struggle with the cold detachment of a scientist observing a test subject. "Continue," was his only response.

After three hours of what felt like torture, Shreya collapsed. But before she could even hit the floor, Aaryan activated his Muscle Recovery Magic. A wave of cool, green energy washed over her, instantly knitting her torn muscle fibers back together and flushing the lactic acid from her system.

"Get ready," Aaryan said, not letting her savor the relief. "Today is the start of the Half-Yearly Examinations."

The School Debut: The Top 3 Beauties

When the group arrived at AKPS School, the atmosphere changed instantly. Usually, the students were focused on the stress of the exams, but as Aaryan walked through the main gates, a hush fell over the courtyard.

Aaryan walked with his usual "Ayanokōji" poker face, but today, the visual impact was overwhelming. He was flanked by Simran, Riya, and Shreya. The presence of three incredibly beautiful girls—each with their own distinct aura—sent a shockwave through the student body.

Every boy in the school felt a sharp sting of jealousy directed at Aaryan. How could one student have all three of them in his inner circle? Meanwhile, the girls in the school were fixated on Shreya. The word spread like wildfire: from today onwards, the Top 3 Most Beautiful Girls in the school were all friends of Aaryan Sahu.

The exams were a breeze for Aaryan and his team, their intelligence boosted by the System's cognitive protocols. But for Shreya, the mental stress of the test was nothing compared to the physical dread of what was waiting for her at home.

The Offer and the Sacrifice

Back at the house, Aaryan gave Shreya exactly one hour to rest and eat. The moment the clock struck the sixty-minute mark, he called her back. "Again. 2.5 hours of Deadly Training. Start now."

"Aaryan, please," Shreya whispered, her voice cracking. "That is enough for one day. I request you... please, no more."

Aaryan leaned against the wall, his eyes narrowing. "And what do I gain by letting you go free for today? Tell me, what are you able to give me in exchange for your rest?"

Shreya fell silent. She looked at him, her mind racing. She was a girl from a poor village; she had no money, no status, and no magic. She knew she only had her body, but she was not ready to give that away. "I have nothing to give you," she said, her head bowed.

"But you have your body," Aaryan said, his voice devoid of any emotion. "You can give me your body, and I will let you go free for today. How does that offer sound?"

Simran and Riya, who were nearby, recoiled in shock. "Aaryan! What are you saying? What do you want from her?"

"Her body," Aaryan repeated, his gaze fixed on Shreya.

Simran stepped forward, her eyes wide with concern. "Okay... if that's what it takes, I will give you my body instead. Just let her be free for today. She's suffered enough."

"No," Aaryan said firmly. "I only want her body."

Shreya's breath was shallow. She was terrified. She looked at the floor, then at Aaryan's monster-like expression. Finally, after five minutes of suffocating silence, she whispered the word. "Okay."

The Mastermind's Mind Game

Aaryan walked toward her. He took her hand—his grip was firm and cold. He led her to her bed and sat her down. Shreya squeezed her eyes shut, her heart racing as she waited for the nightmare to begin. Aaryan leaned in close, his hands moving as if he were about to undress her.

Then, he stopped.

"Now stand up," Aaryan said, his voice returning to its normal, icy tone. "And do your training instead of that."

Shreya's eyes snapped open. She was shaking. "But... what happened to you? Why? Why didn't you do that thing with me?"

"I don't want to answer your questions," Aaryan said, his back already turned to her. "That is an order. Do the training."

Left with no choice, Shreya began the routine. But this time, Aaryan quietly activated a Pain-Dampening Magic on her. She felt the exertion, but the agonizing burn in her nerves was gone. She worked through the session with a strange ease, completing the 2.5 hours of intense movement.

The moment the session ended, Aaryan cut the magic. The pain that had been blocked flooded her brain all at once. Shreya collapsed onto the seat, gasping as the agony hit her like a physical blow. Aaryan waited for a few seconds, letting her feel the cost of his protection, before finally using the Muscle Recover Magic to heal her completely.

A New Feeling

Later that evening, they headed to coaching. Aaryan introduced Shreya to the teachers and the other students with his usual cold efficiency. After the session, as they sat and ate biscuits with tea, Aaryan stepped away. He moved to the center of the training room and activated 100,000x Gravity. The air around him seemed to warp as he began his own god-level exercise.

Shreya sat with Simran and Riya, watching him. "Why did he refuse?" she asked quietly. "He could have had anything he wanted from me. Why did he choose the training instead?"

"Aaryan didn't do it because he thinks about our future," Riya explained, her digital eyes glowing softly.

"Our future?" Shreya asked.

"Yes," Simran said. "He knows that if he gives in to those things now, it creates problems. He knows we have a war coming with the Watchers. He refused because he values our strength more than his own desires."

As Shreya listened, her perspective of the "monster" began to change. She looked at Aaryan—the boy who had saved her from a lake, who was training in gravity that would crush a normal human, and who had spared her when she was at her most vulnerable.

A new feeling began to develop in her heart. I won't refuse any order of Aaryan again, she thought. I will become the weapon he needs.

They finished their dinner and went to their rooms. As the house fell silent, the bond of the team had shifted. Shreya was no longer a slave in her mind; she was a follower of the Architect.
