Xzaivier is tied up and placed on the back of Yagumi's horse. The hooves of the horse begins to gallop along the cobblestone street of bard city, making their way to sword saint academy. After 3 days of traveling and camping out in the wilderness they finally arrive in prestige city. Tall towers, fancy homes and many industries littering the land. The gigantic citadel school, known as sword saint academy comes into view. Sensei Gara and Yagumi stop by the gates, the gate encampment troops pull the gates open allowing them into the institution. They head to the stables where hundreds of horses rest. After hitching their horses they dismount Xzaivier and carry him into the academy where the headmaster a tall, dominant, neat man with dark brown skin, a large beard, no hair, sword saint uniform and a white haori (the headmaster alone wears a white haori as a symbol of his leadership) waits in the main hall, a large crowd of sword saints, fills the hall as the three enter. His 6 legendary blades are sheathed at his sides (3 on each side) and his arms are crossed as he glares at the approaching 3.
Headmaster: I received your letter via the messenger pigeons, Gara. What does this night scar boy have to offer to us?
Sensei Gara bows, Yagumi doesn't but Sensei Gara forces Yagumi into a bow. They get back up before speaking.
Sensei Gara: He's quite prodigious, he's incredibly resourceful in battle, never running out of ways to outsmart the opponent. He also possesses profound strength despite his lean build.
Headmaster: Profound strength huh?
Sensei Gara: Yes, he was able to create destructive wind slashes, similar to those of my strongest current student, Yagumi Arashi... except his are generated from pure strength and not legendary blade power.
Yagumi's jaw tightens and his fists ball into fists. Everyone gasps and begin, a sign of intrigue.
Sensei Gara: I would even go as far as saying he stronger than Yagumi—
Yagumi: Hell no he isn't. It was simply him sneaking into my blindspot, nothing more. He is nowhere near my level.
Xzaivier: You must've strained your brain swinging that absolutely ineffective chunk of metal around. I am stronger than you and that is the truth.
Yagumi: You say that as if you can win again.
Xzaivier: I can actually. This time i wouldn't simply win I'd humiliate you.
Headmaster: Enough! Night scar, since you speak of yourself so highly, maybe you wouldn't mind showing us your seals.
Xzaivier: I—
Yagumi: He can't use any, he has learned any, his only crutch is his blade, barely above average strength and his barely above average brains.
Headmaster: Wait, so he beat a trained sword saint with no seal power at all?
Yagumi: Nuhh-uhhh. It was a fluke!
Headmaster: Seems like it was a matter of skill rather than a matter of luck.
Yagumi: I'm telling you that it was a fluke! Please authorize a duel between us so I can show you this vigilante is nothing special!
Sensei Gara: Mind your tone, Yagumi!
Xzaivier: You seem so sure, You will regret such confidence.
Headmaster: How about a wager then!
Xzaivier: I'm in.
Yagumi: Me too.
Headmaster: If Night scar wins, he gets to join the academy and take Yagumi's place in Team Gara (every sensei has a team of students that they choose, they can choose as many as they wish, these teams all attend a single classes and training sessions with their sensei and their sensei alone). If Night scar wins Yagumi Arashi will be kicked out of the academy.
Everyone gasps, Yagumi's eyes widen.
Yagumi: (in his mind) No stress, I'm the strongest alive.
Headmaster: However... if the Night scar loses, Yagumi will remain and the Night scar will be the one leaving the gates instead. Do you two accept the conditions layed in front of you?
Sensei Gara: Headmaster—
Yagumi: No sensei, have some faith in the strongest sword saint of the strongest sword saint team will you. I'll win, there is no other possible outcome.
Headmaster: Hmph. Everyone to the arena, immediately.
The headmaster starts walking away as everyone heads to the arena.
After hours of preparation the boys are welcomed to the academy's roman gladiator style arena. They are currently standing on opposite ends of a single arena as the nation of Sol's anthem plays. Once the music stops, the Headmaster Torin Viggo and his wife, Ophelia Viggo enter their VIP section. The entire academy is present, watching the battle.
Announcer: This is a professional duel between young swordsmen. The first to collapse to the ground and become unable to continue fighting is the loser. Goodluck.
Headmaster: (in his mind) Let's see what 9 years of delivering unlawful justice has for you, Night scar. I do wonder how you're going to channel the energy of that legendary blade when you don't even know the first thing about seals.
Xzaivier unsheathes the darkness blade, Yagumi dismounts the fan blade from his back.
Yagumi draws the seal of hypmob (grants hyper mobility techniques like flashsteps) in the air with his free hand.
Yagumi: Seal of Hypmob!
Once the seal is complete, Yagumi appears in front of Xzaivier, attempting an overhead slash upon arrival. Xzaivier instinctively sidesteps, barely evading to attack, Yagumi immediately lifts his blade, attempting a horizontal slash that is blocked by Xzaivier's darkness blade. They enter a blade lock, Yagumi attempting to force his blade through but the raw strength of Xzaivier doesn't allow it. Xzaivier smashes Yagumi's fan blade into the ground before backstepping an immediate punch attempt. Yagumi sends 100s of wind slashes at Xzaivier but Xzaivier closes his eyes, recalling the seal that Yagumi had drawn in the air a few seconds ago.
Xzaivier: (In his mind) Seals of Hypmob he called it...
Xzaivier attempts to draw the seal but fails. He opens his eyes, dodging the wind slashes that threaten to end him. He attempts to draw it a second time but fails. He dodges another incoming wind slash.
Xzaivier: (in his mind) A final time.
He attempts to draw the seal a final time but fails miserably. Xzaivier resorts to simply using his natural speed to dodge the wind slashes. Xzaivier runs to Yagumi, dodging and blocking any concentrated wind that dares challenge his 5'6 tall self. He knee slides under a final wind slash before getting a cut on Yagumi's leg. Yagumi gets a cut on his back before can escape, Yagumi uses draws the seal of hypmob again.
Yagumi: Seal of Hypmob!
Yagumi appears behind Xzaivier but Xzaivier blocks the attack while still looking forward. Yagumi lifts his blade again, attempting overhead slash. Xzaivier turns around and they both enter a blade lock again.
