Chapter 1 - THE ARRIVAL OF THE UNKNOWN ( Part 1)

Jake Norman had it all—or at least, the world thought he did. At twenty-six, he was a self-made billionaire, owner of a sprawling empire that stretched across continents, with a mansion that kissed the clouds and a reputation that made heads turn the moment he walked into a room. People envied him, admired him, and whispered about him, but few knew the man behind the fortune.

By day, Jake was the perfect picture of success—sharp suits, sharper business acumen, and an unshakable confidence. But by night, when the city lights reflected off the calm ocean near his mansion, he felt something he couldn't buy, no matter how many zeroes filled his bank account: emptiness. Love, companionship, the kind that stirred the heart and softened the soul—these were mysteries he had never truly understood.

And then she appeared. Quiet. Still. Like a shadow at the water's edge. Her gaze met his, and in that single moment, something inside him shifted. Everything he had built, everything he thought defined him, suddenly felt fragile—like glass threatening to shatter.

Jake Norman, the Don of his world, the master of wealth and power, was about to learn that some fortunes come at a price, and some losses are impossible to predict. And in the game of love, success and failure are never measured by money alone.

(CHAPTER 1).....

Jake was the perfect picture of success—sharp suits, sharper business acumen, and an unshakable confidence.

But by night, when the city lights reflected off the calm ocean near his mansion, he felt something he couldn't buy, no matter how many zeroes filled his bank account:

emptiness.

And in the game of love, success and failure are never measured by money alone.

had everything a man could want—

a thriving business, a mansion that seemed to touch the clouds, and a reputation that announced his presence before he even arrived.

Yet that evening, as he walked along the quiet shoreline, something felt… off.

Unsettled.

The waves moved gently, whispering against the shore, but the calm only made the feeling worse.

Then he saw her.

She stood at the edge of the water, completely still.

Not moving. Not speaking. Just staring into the horizon as

if the ocean itself was speaking back to her.

Jake frowned slightly.

"You don't belong here," he said, the words leaving his mouth before he could stop them.

She turned.

Her eyes met his—and in that moment, something shifted.

There was an intensity in her gaze that made him take a step back.

"And yet I am here," she replied softly.

Her voice carried no warmth, no attempt to impress, no fear.

And yet… something about her pulled him in.

Something he couldn't explain.

Within months, Naida became a part of his life.

Not loudly. Not forcefully.

But quietly… deliberately.

She never cared about his wealth, his status, or the luxury that surrounded him.

Where others admired, she questioned.

"I want to understand you," she said one night, watching him go through a stack of business records.

Jake smiled, mistaking it for affection.

"Then you will."

But he didn't know…

Understanding was exactly what she had come for.

Naida was different.

She appeared in places she shouldn't know about—

the private library where Jake reviewed contracts,

quiet cafés tucked away from the city noise,

even his favorite rooftop garden where he went to be alone.

At first, Jake dismissed it as coincidence.

But coincidences don't repeat themselves that often.

"I don't understand how you always know where I am," he said one afternoon, watching her closely.

Naida tilted her head slightly, a faint smile touching her lips.

"Maybe I pay attention more than others," she replied.

It sounded simple.

Too simple.

Jake studied her for a moment longer, but found nothing to question—no fear, no hesitation, just that same calm presence.

And somehow… that unsettled him more.

Days turned into weeks.

Weeks into months.

And slowly, without realizing it, Jake began to change.

The late nights in his office became shorter.

The endless parties lost their appeal.

Even the silence in his mansion no longer felt as empty when she was around.

But with that change came something else.

Questions.

Unanswered ones.

Naida would leave without notice.

Sometimes for hours… sometimes for an entire day.

No calls. No messages.

And whenever she returned, she never explained.

Jake noticed.

But he didn't press.

Maybe because he didn't want to break whatever this was.

Or maybe… he was afraid of the answer.

One evening, as rain tapped softly against the windows of his study, Naida stood by the glass, watching the storm.

"People build walls to protect themselves," she said quietly,

"but they forget… walls don't stop the water."

Jake looked up from his desk, frowning slightly.

"It always finds a way in," she added.

He leaned back in his chair. "What do you mean?"

Naida didn't turn.

"I'm saying," she replied softly,

"that nothing stays hidden forever."

The room fell silent.

Only the sound of rain remained.

For a brief moment, Jake felt something unfamiliar—

Unease.

Months passed, and Jake found himself drawn deeper into her world.

Or maybe…

she was pulling him into it.

He told her things he had never told anyone.

Fears he didn't admit existed.

Dreams he had buried beneath years of ambition.

And through it all, she listened.

Always listening.

Always watching.

Then came the night everything shifted.

The two of them stood by the shoreline again, the same place they first met.

The ocean stretched endlessly before them, dark and restless.

Jake exhaled slowly.

"Why are you here, Naida?" he asked.

"What do you really want from me?"

For the first time…

She hesitated.

Naida turned away, her eyes fixed on the water. The moonlight reflected on her skin, giving her an almost unreal glow.

"I am bound by things you cannot understand," she said quietly.

"And yet…"

She paused.

"…what I have chosen is you."

Jake should have been afraid.

But he wasn't.

Instead, he felt something stronger than logic—

Certainty.

The wedding came quietly.

No grand celebration. No attention.

Just a union that felt… inevitable.

Jake didn't care that she never fully fit into his world.

He didn't care that there were parts of her he didn't understand.

He loved her.

And that was enough.

Or so he believed.

But beneath that love…

Something was watching.

Waiting.

Far beneath the surface of the ocean, where light could not reach, a silent kingdom stirred.

Ancient.

Powerful.

Awake.

"She has chosen him," a deep voice echoed through the dark waters.

Silence followed.

Then another voice answered—cold and absolute.

"Then his life is forfeit."
