On Tuesday afternoon, after her training with the ANBU and lunch with Naruto and Sasuke, Kakashi walked through the door after several days away on a mission. She smiled in his direction, happy to see him. When he came downstairs after showering, he sat beside her on the couch with a satisfied sigh.
"Ah… Finally, I can sit down."
"Tough mission?"
"More like a long one."
"Better that way, right?" she smiled, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.
She didn't dare tell him she had missed him, especially with her brothers constantly wandering around the house. She was content just sitting next to him, her thoughts drifting here and there. Naruto didn't even try to get her to train with them, not when he saw his teacher sprawled on the couch with his porn novel and without his jonin vest. Kakashi looked like he had no intention of moving. Seina closed her eyes momentarily but ended up napping for an hour.
"Come on," Kakashi gently woke her. "It's time for dinner."
"Mmm…"
"If you nap now, you won't sleep later," the jonin chuckled softly.
Reluctantly, she woke up. She had been using his side as a pillow.
"You could have woken me up," she told him.
"Why would I?" he replied with a playful wink.
They had dinner, courtesy of Naruto—thankfully. Just as Kakashi had predicted, she struggled to fall asleep later. Out of boredom, she decided to do something people sometimes resorted to in moments like this.
"Do people really masturbate when they're bored?"
"More often than you'd think. Now, let me focus," she muttered.
Rolling her eyes, she used her fingers to please herself. For a moment, she felt embarrassed thinking about anything erotic, knowing Kurama was there, caught between amusement and disgust. Then, suddenly, Kurama said his silent goodbyes and left her alone.
Trying to conjure a fantasy, her mind involuntarily created an image of a faceless man—yet unmistakably Kakashi. She recognized him by his bare chest.
Closing her eyes, she let herself sink into the dream. It felt vivid, like she was witnessing it first-hand. Meanwhile, her fingers and the small toy she had summoned filled her in ways her hands alone never could. She trembled with pleasure as the vibrations touched places her fingers couldn't reach, massaging her inner walls. Briefly, she wondered if it was too early to explore herself like this in her young body, but, really, who was going to stop her?
It was strange, thrilling, and oddly fascinating to fantasize about Kakashi while masturbating. The thought amused her; she knew it wouldn't be the last time. As her back arched involuntarily, she climaxed, her hips moving without restraint. Surprised, she noted just how wet she was. Her legs trembled like a fawn's as the waves of pleasure subsided.
Thankful for the privacy of her room's barriers, she realized how loud she had been. She cleaned the sheets, aired out the room with a spell, showered, and changed into new pyjamas. Kurama, exasperated within her mind, remained silent for a long time.
"Next time you get bored, give me some warning," Kurama eventually grumbled, entirely serious.
The following morning, she was in such a good mood that she vowed to make self-pleasure a regular thing. Whoever said a good orgasm could fix anything was a genius. Kurama snorted a laugh in her mind at the thought.
"I think you have a mission," Naruto said, noticing the note attached to Shikaku's messenger hawk.
"Can you grab it for me?" she asked, finishing breakfast.
"Correction. We have a mission."
"Together?" she asked, spinning around quickly.
"No. Sasuke and I have one, and so do you and Kakashi."
"Ugh. They're overworking me again," Kakashi complained like a petulant child.
After eating quickly, they headed out. It turned out her mission was a solo escort assignment. Seeing her utterly exasperated expression, Shikaku managed to keep from smiling.
"Cheer up. You just need to escort a child to his grandparents."
"And why does this require a jonin?"
"Because he's the heir to a wealthy family."
Great. A young, potentially spoiled child. She shot Shikaku a glare. Then she had an idea. Taking the scroll, she left at a slow pace. Kakashi, waiting his turn patiently in the lounge, looked up, raising an eyebrow.
"An escort mission. For a child," she clarified, crossing her arms.
Kakashi poorly concealed his laughter behind his book, much to the amusement of those nearby.
"Yes, laugh at my misfortune. Just what I needed!"
"Maa, maa… It's not so bad," he said, standing up to pat her shoulder.
She shot him a quick glare before relaxing. She wasn't truly angry or upset, just annoyed. She didn't like escort missions, but it could have been worse. After bidding farewell to the jonin, she headed to the hotel where the child's parents were waiting. He was six years old, thankfully, which made him easier to manage than a teenager.
"Mr. and Mrs. Yoshimura?" she asked at the hotel.
"That's us," a voice answered behind her.
She turned to see a young couple with a small boy. They didn't look particularly special aside from their apparent wealth. They explained how they needed their son taken to his grandparents so they could extend their business trip near Konoha.
"We can't take care of him ourselves. It wouldn't be suitable for someone his age," the mother excused.
She didn't care. She nodded, listening with disinterest to their instructions and requests to keep their son safe, blah, blah, blah. Then, she packed the boy's luggage into a scroll, making a show of it in front of everyone. She could've simply stored it in her ninja pouch but preferred to keep her abilities a secret.
The boy, much less spoiled than she'd anticipated, grabbed her hand with a smile. He clearly had enough of traveling with his parents.
"Excited to see your grandparents?" she asked as they left the hotel, waving goodbye to his parents.
"Yes! I can't wait to see jiji! And my pony!"
"You have a pony?" she asked, exaggerating her surprise.
"Yes! His name is Raten!"
She listened with some amusement to her client's chaotic chatter as they left the village at a slow pace. It was clear that walking with the little boy all the way to his hometown, over 200 kilometres away, would take at least a week. She had no intention of walking that long, so she discreetly cast a spell on the child and picked him up when he raised his arms, wanting to be carried after suddenly feeling sleepy.
"What do you think about me carrying you while you sleep?" she asked.
"Huh-uh,"
She intensified the spell's effect, leaving him snoring on her shoulder. She veered off the path into the forest and used one of the seals she had scattered across the Land of Fire to shorten the distance. They landed within a half-hour run of Koi Yoshimura's grandparents' village. She ran silently, using the forest for cover, until she arrived at the village entrance.
At the gate, there was a small office, but she didn't need to register. The streets were paved with cobblestones rather than dirt, signalling a small but prosperous town. She carried the boy toward the Yoshimura estate, ignoring the curious gazes of passers-by.
"Hello," she greeted upon seeing the guards at the estate entrance. "This is where the Yoshimura family lives, right?"
"That's correct," one guard replied, eyeing the boy and then noting how she carried his sleeping form with one arm as though he weighed nothing. He glanced at the mission scroll she produced. "We weren't expecting you for a few more days."
"I'm quick, and he's been sleeping the whole time, so I made the most of it."
"Yeah," the guard chuckled. "They're always less trouble when they're asleep. Go on in."
It took exactly half an hour to leave the estate. The grandparents, who hadn't expected her at all, had to be called out of a meeting they were attending.
"Thank you so much for bringing him back safely, shinobi-san," one of them said.
"No problem," she replied.
"Can we offer you something to drink to recover your strength?"
"No need, I'm fine."
"Alright. Then our butler will escort you back to the gate. Have a good day."
"You too."
Why stay longer when she could be back in Konoha in under ten minutes? She chose to conclude the mission, accepted the note of completion from her clients, and returned to the village. She registered at a different gate to avoid being questioned by the chunin at the usual checkpoint, headed to the mission department, handed in the scroll and note, collected her payment, and left.
"Seina?" a voice called from behind her. It was Tokuma. "Long time no see! Were you on a mission?"
"Yeah, I just got back, actually. How about you?"
"Doing well, doing well," he laughed. "I've been training with Neji. Did you know that?"
"Why's that?"
"He found out we know each other and have done a few missions together," Tokuma said, grinning strangely as though suppressing laughter.
"Riiight?" she said, drawing out the word in confusion.
"Don't mind me. Someday I need to introduce you to my little brother Ko. He's Hinata-sama's bodyguard in the village."
They chatted for a couple of minutes before parting ways. What a strange conversation. She shrugged it off and headed home to enjoy her temporary solitude. She tidied up the little mess there was, took the laundry out of the washer, folded it, checked the pantry, and then returned to the village to restock what was missing. Still bored since it wasn't time to eat, she confirmed her clones were still working on her book project before heading to the training shed to practice ninjutsu. Then, before lunch, she swam some laps in the pool for exercise.
Without her team around, Sunday dragged on. She spent her free time training, as she did on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, having nothing else to do, she went to train at the ANBU headquarters with whoever was available.
"You're good with that ninjato," a stranger praised her. "If you want to surpass your limits, start training with your non-dominant hand."
Seina nodded, discreetly wiping sweat from her face by scratching her ear. Normally, she used both hands, but it was true she tended to favour her right hand when wielding the weapon one-handed. Ninja training had made her ambidextrous, but she wasn't truly left-handed. Curious, she wondered what would happen if she started using her left hand for everyday tasks like writing reports or brushing her teeth. She hadn't trained for that much before, but if this ANBU expert in kenjutsu recommended it, she'd give it a shot.
"I'll take your advice."
"Good."
The ANBU disappeared without even saying goodbye. Seina felt the hidden gaze of Commander Ryu boring into her from behind. She avoided smiling, knowing exactly why he was staring. The prank spell she'd cast on him had turned his pubic hair pink. In fact, every day something strange happened down there. It was a George spell, so she was familiar with the…phenomena that occurred randomly. Perhaps today it was the braided pubic hair effect?
"Come with me, kitsune," he finally ordered.
Without protest, she followed him to his office, also hidden and secret. Once inside, she noticed the multitude of barriers protecting the window, door, ceiling, floor, and walls. Paranoid or just cautious? The ANBU spun 180 degrees to stand in front of her. They stared at each other. Was he trying to intimidate her with his presence or exhaust her after her extensive kenjutsu training? Questions, questions… For a long while, no one said anything, and Seina resisted the urge to laugh or let her shoulders shake with amusement.
"How long does it last?"
"What does?"
"...The jutsu you cast on my genitals," the ANBU said bluntly, in a dry tone.
Seina held back a laugh, though she was dying to burst out laughing.
"What jutsu are you talking about?"
"Let's not play games, alright? I know what you did to Tsunade-sama, and I know what you're capable of. Did you think you weren't on my radar from the beginning?"
"Really?" she asked.
She wasn't answering his last rhetorical question but rather his assertion that he knew she was "capable of many things." The commander didn't know anything. The ANBU seemed to catch the distinction in her voice. Silence followed.
"Permission to speak freely?"
"Granted."
"You don't know anything, Commander, about what I'm capable of. You only know what I've allowed you to know. Konoha is my home, and I have many loved ones here. As long as I'm not betrayed… or manipulated, I will remain loyal. So there's no need for incentives because all that does is piss me off," she confessed. "If you want something, say it outright."
"Then I should confess something," the commander said in a neutral voice. "I manipulated Tsunade-sama into manipulating you. Not because I thought it was necessary for you to join the ANBU, but to test your temperament. I know you have abilities you haven't shown us, and I know your loyalty isn't the blind kind others have for Konoha. Your loyalty is given to individuals, and that could be a problem considering your powers."
"You've been testing me?" she hissed. "To see my reaction to your manipulation, is that it?"
"Exactly. I needed to know what you would do when you realized we had manipulated you for Konoha's benefit. Would you react violently? Would you even notice? Would you become resentful of the village?"
"And what's stopping me from being even angrier now that I know I was manipulated just to 'see how I'd react'?"
"The fact that I'm confessing the truth because I've come to understand who you are. You could have acted violently, but your choice was to punish the individuals responsible without harming Konoha. And it wasn't even a violent punishment. Now I know that no matter what powers you have, you won't use them against innocent people without good reason."
"Then, you know I'm going to punish you again, right?" she said, a mix of anger, exasperation, and amusement in her tone.
"I do. It's a fair trade," the ANBU shrugged.
"Oh, is it?" she said with a malicious smile.
She turned him into a woman, complete with a vagina. Then, she cast a dark enchantment so that every time he sneezed, a sardine would come out of his nose. Oh, and she tattooed a penis and testicles on the back of his neck. She wondered how long it would take him to notice or if anyone would dare inform him about the tattoo.
"With your permission."
"…I'm not going to like what you did to me, am I?" the commander asked, expecting the worst.
"Maybe you will. How would I know?"
She left before he could realize he now had a pair of breasts and his penis was gone. The only thing she hadn't altered to make him fully female was his vocal cords. She wished she could witness it in person, but she knew that would be nearly impossible, even if she left a few of her tiniest summons in the headquarters.
The next day, while she was working at the hospital, Naruto and Sasuke showed up carrying Neji, who had a bandage over his eyes. She could hear them even from her office.
"Hello. We need to see my sister."
"Seina-sama is working. What happened?"
"Something happened to his eyes while using the byakugan."
"I'll call someone to check his vision."
Seina, who had already risen from her chair, walked down to the reception area one floor below. Naruto and Sasuke noticed her first.
"There's no need," Sasuke said when he saw her. "Seina."
"It's fine, Keiko, I'll handle it."
She took them to her office on the upper floor. She removed Neji's bandages, observing that his eyes were irritated and seemed unseeing. Fortunately—or unfortunately—Neji was unconscious and couldn't complain about the pain.
"What happened?" she asked.
"He used the Byakugan, and whatever he saw from a distance left him like this. We used one of your vision potions, so he's much better than he was a couple of days ago," Sasuke reported.
"His retinas are slightly damaged, but much less than expected."
She began regenerating his cells, watching as the inflammation in the veins leading to his eyes gradually subsided. The redness faded until it looked as though he had only gone a day without sleep. Naruto and Sasuke stood silently by her side, watching.
"He's recovered now. He'll need to rest his byakugan and his eyes for a couple of days."
She applied some potion drops to his eyes and then rebandaged them.
"I'll call someone from his family to come pick him up," she said aloud while signing the documents for his medical leave.
"We can take him, nee-chan," Naruto offered.
"No. I need someone to come and sign his file, Naru."
"Alright, then we'll go submit the report."
"One moment!" she said, grabbing her brother's hand and popping his pinkie finger back into place.
"Ow!"
"I told you I'd take care of that," Sasuke rolled his eyes. "I could have done it myself."
"You're a brute!"
"Are you saying I can't set a simple dislocated finger, dobe?" Sasuke hissed as they left her office.
Seina rolled her eyes. Would those two ever stop arguing?
"Do you know who needs an orgasm more than you?" Kurama asked unexpectedly. "Those two."
"You think they don't masturbate?" she asked, surprised and slightly disgusted.
"How would I know? But based on how they act, I'd say no."
Kurama's laughter echoed in her mind as she made her way to the reception desk to request that someone send a note to one of Neji's relatives. She finished her shift a short while later. Another Hyuga, who bore a striking resemblance to Tokuma, came to take Neji home. Maybe it was his younger brother, Ko?
"What did Neji see?" Seina asked when she got home.
"We think it was a large chakra concentration," Naruto replied with a frown. "We didn't see anything, so it must have been that."
"Interesting."
Naruto and Sasuke rested for a while after lunch as Seina trained in the shed.
"Knock, knock, can we come in?" Naruto asked when she paused from training her brute strength using more than just her fists.
"Are you in the mood to train?"
"Hn. Of course. It's been a while since the three of us trained together against the dummies."
The dummies weren't actual targets but her creations—metallic, humanoid figures full of runes designed to self-repair with a voice command. They were also equipped to attack with brute strength, weapons, and everything else she could integrate with runes and spells. It wasn't the same as fighting against people, but it served to train their team coordination. Even Kakashi used them to train with his ninken.
She opened her link to sense them and started. The three of them faced off against ten dummies in a kenjutsu battle. She leaped over Naruto, avoiding one of the stabbing attacks, and watched as her brother drove his ninjato into its torso. The dummy fell backward, and she used its fall to finish it off by stabbing her wakizashi into its neck. Meanwhile, Sasuke covered their backs from two other dummies, wielding her ANBU ninjato with both hands.
Seina pivoted on the ground, throwing a couple of kunai with precision at the dummies closing in on her. With her wakizashi in her left hand, she swung her weapon. They ended up fighting back-to-back, forming a triangle to protect themselves from all sides. She couldn't have fought this way with anyone else—without their link, without accidentally stabbing someone. She wouldn't have been able to dodge Naruto's weapon slicing overhead to pierce the neck of the dummy or feinted to distract it from Sasuke's strike to the torso.
They finished a while later, hearing someone clap. They took down the last wave of dummies before she deactivated the training spell. It was Kakashi, of course, standing near the doorway, leaning against the enchanted wall as if he were propped up on air in the middle of a sunny clearing.
"You've improved a lot," the jonin acknowledged, pride evident in his voice. "Who would've thought a year and a half ago…"
"Thanks, Kakashi-sensei," Naruto smiled, his face glistening with sweat like the rest of them.
"I'd suggest sparring, but I'm heading for a shower to wash off the blood, among other things, from my mission."
"I'm showering too," she said. "I'm drenched from head to toe."
Thankfully, her clothes were enchanted and covered in runes. Otherwise, she'd be soaked through.
"How was your mission?" Seina asked later when everyone was showered and dressed in their pyjamas.
"Good. There was a fight in the end, but nothing I couldn't handle," Kakashi smiled, secretly brushing her ankle with his foot. "And you? Looks like you've been training together again."
"I can't wait for August to end so we can start doing missions together," Naruto said, eating. "The fun of being a team is doing missions together."
"Hn. The dobe's right."
"Well, I can't guarantee they'll assign you together immediately in September, but I'm sure you'll have a team mission soon."
"I hope so. Sometimes I'm too lazy to even talk out loud."
Kakashi chuckled at Sasuke's agreeing nod.
"That's not a good habit, airhead."
Seina smiled as she listened to her favourite people laugh and banter. As long as they were all fine, she didn't mind taking on 50 solo missions.
