She said, "Chief, I think I'm doing a good job in our department. I'm not interested in that program."
However, Chief Gray frowned. "Janice, I heard that you were a top student in Communication Studies. Are you really willing to stay in our department?"
"I think it's a good job. With so many good colleagues and your good leadership, I'm afraid I won't be comfortable if I go to other departments."
Janice said with embarrassment.
Chief Gray smiled and sighed, "Janice, I still hope that you can think about it. People should always aim higher. Besides, you are still young. You will regret it if you don't fight for something better."
Janice understood Chief Gray's logic.
But she really didn't want to go.
She said, "Thank you chief, but I won't consider it. You'd better leave the opportunity to someone else."
Seeing that she was so persistent, Chief Gray didn't force her anymore.
"Okay, go back to work then."
Janice nodded and got up to leave.
