Yvonne asked, "What's going on?"
Janice shook her head. If she knew the reason, she wouldn't be so sad.
"What are you going to do in the future?" Yvonne asked.
Janice said, "I don't know. The TV station said they could arrange some other position for me in due course. But if I carry this blemish on my record, I won't be able to live with myself, even if I go somewhere else."
"Why don't you rest for a while? Anyway, your husband is rich, he can support you." Yvonne said.
Janice knew that Christopher could very well support her. However, she wanted to stand on her own two feet.
The most she could be was be idle temporarily until the matter was investigated clearly.
After chatting with Yvonne, Janice felt better.
After leaving the hospital, she returned home.
There was still some time before Christopher returned, so she tidied up the house.
The house was spotless because they had a maid, but she felt she needed to keep herself occupied.
