Whether it was complete cringe or not, Tessa honestly didn't understand her males sometimes. They had a habit of saying the most ridiculous things with such confidence that she wondered if their mouths worked separately from their brains.
Still, the crowd recovered surprisingly fast from their earlier antics and turned their attention back to her as she began assigning tasks.
"Everyone is participating," Tessa announced firmly. "This can't be done by one person alone. And when we're done... guess what I'm going to make."
The tribesmen exchanged looks.
Most of them immediately looked lost.
Tessa stared at them for several seconds.
Not a single guess.
Not one.
She opened her mouth to help them before realizing something.
Actually...
She hadn't decided yet.
"...Never mind."
The crowd blinked.
"I'll figure something out later. For now, the usual trading continues."
A disappointed murmur spread through the gathering.
Tessa ignored it.
