At the main entrance, Eleonore Thorn had been pacing back and forth impatiently for quite some time, her heart overflowing with longing for her little grandchildren.
Finally, a black vehicle pulled into the driveway. As the doors swung open, young Clara and Lucian's sweet, melodious voices instantly rang out across the courtyard: "Great-Grandpa! Grandpa! We're back!"
Michael stepped away to park the car smoothly, while Evelyn held her children's hands, guiding them toward the main doors.
Hearing her children's joyful greetings, Evelyn paused slightly, looking down at them in confusion. "Clara, Lucian, sweetheart... why didn't you greet Grandma as well?"
When Eleonore emerged from the front doors, she caught only the last few words of Evelyn's sentence, specifically, the part about not calling her grandma.
